Jim Pedone has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at four Marriott International properties owned by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts

Hospitality industry veteran Jim Pedone has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the four Marriott International properties owned by Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts: Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. The appointment marks a return to Waikiki for Pedone, who worked at Halekulani earlier in his career.

Kimari Pada has been promoted to Hotel Manager at Aqua Bamboo Waikiki

Aqua-Aston Hospitality, a leader in hospitality management known for its owned brands in Hawaii, the continental United States, and Central America, has announced the promotion of Kimari Pada to the role of hotel manager. Formerly the hotel's guest service manager, Pada has been promoted from within, and will now lead operations at the Aqua Bamboo Waikiki hotel. She reports to Jeff Caminos, vice president of operations, Aqua-Aston Hospitality.Pada's more than six-year-tenure at Aqua Bamboo Waikiki includes many positions from on-call night auditor to interim hotel manager, along with industry accolades such as the 2016 No Po'e Pa'ahana Honoree for Front Desk Person of the Year and the 2017 Club Excellence Silver Star.

Alyson Wee has been appointed as Revenue Manager at OLS Hawaii

As the new revenue manager, Wee is responsible for developing, enhancing and leading revenue management strategies and best practices for OLS' Hawaii properties. She also focuses on rate building, connectivity and distribution. Prior to joining OLS, she served as a revenue manager for Aqua-Aston Hospitality where she focused on several Hawaii properties, ranging from budget to upscale boutique, and successfully increased and impacted important revenue metrics and key performance indicators. Prior to the hospitality industry, she worked at a family law firm and a real estate law firm. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Michael Czarcinski has been appointed as General Manager at Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach

Hospitality industry veteran Michael Czarcinski has been named general manager of the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, as announced by Area Vice President Harris Chan, Marriott International - Hawaii & French Polynesia. Most recently, Czarcinski served as general manager of the 1,350-room Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles, Calif.

Huy Vo has been appointed as Director of Public Relations at Ritz-Carlton Waikiki Beach

In his new position, Vo is responsible for overseeing the resort's global communications strategy, which includes public relations, advertising, digital marketing and community relations. He brings more than 10 years of strategic communications experience in the areas of hospitality, luxury and travel and tourism to the resort. He previously served as director of marketing for Irongate also as part of the resort's pre-opening team, where he led all global marketing initiatives for the resort. Prior to this, he held a number of public relations and marketing leadership positions at The Kahala Hotel & Resort and Hawaiian Airlines.

Nomura previously held the position of Category Manager with HFM Foodservice and before that was a Project Coordinator and Restaurant Guest Service Manager at Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa on Oahu.
