Michael Lee has been appointed as General Manager at Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur

Lee brings with him a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry over the past 20 years having held leadership positions at Hotel Equatorial in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hotel Radisson Unigraha Sumatera in Indonesia, Sunway Hotel in Shenzhen China and Pan Pacific Legacy Hotel in Malacca, Malaysia amongst others. Prior to joining Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur, Lee was General Manager of Asta Hotel in Shenzhen and Zhuhai, China, overseeing both hotel properties under the group’s flagship in the South China region. Lee started his 5-year hotel career with Concorde Hotel Singapore in 1990, during which he also graduated with a Diploma in Hotel Accommodation Management from The Singapore Hotel Association Training and Educational College (SHATEC) in 1993. In 1995, he earned a Certificate in Cabin in Flight Service, gaining a holistic background in hospitality as a Flight Steward in Singapore Airlines for 2 years before fully immersing himself in the hotel line. In 2008, Lee received his certification as an Internal Auditor in Quality Management System ISO 9002, from the much lauded consultancy and training organization in Nevilla-Clarke, Jakarta Indonesia.

Andreas Senn has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at Shangri-La , Kuala Lumpur

Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has announced the appointment of Andreas Senn as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of food and beverage. In his new capacity, Mr Senn will work very closely with new Executive Chef Mario Hofmann to explore new local and international food trends and opportunities to further enhance the diner’s experience. All of the food and beverage outlets in the hotel will come under Mr Senn’s management. Mr Senn has enjoyed a career spanning luxury hotels in the UK, the Maldives, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand. He also brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous position as Executive Assistant Manager of food and beverage at Conrad Dubai in the UAE. Originally from Austria, Mr Senn studied at FVF St Johann Tyrol Hotel Management School before starting work as maitre d’/restaurant manager at various hotels there.

Colin is no stranger to the 1,234-room Hotel as he was the Operations Manager in charge of Food & Beverage between May 2006 and June 2008. Since moving on from Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa in 2008, Colin has served with Nikko Hotel in Tianjin, Shangri-La Hotel in Xian, Inter-Continental Hotel in Hangzhou and Raffles in Hainan in various capacity; his last position being Resident Manager at Raffles' bespoke property in Hainan, China. Although a Malaysian, Colin received his early education in Singapore and graduated in Hotel Management from the Hotel Institute in Montreux, Switzerland in 1992.

Taro started his career in hospitality with Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore in 1989 and since leaving the Company from his last position as Director of Rooms in 1999, has served as General Manager with Ascott International and Fraser's Hospitality in Singapore, Bangkok and Seoul. Most recently, Taro relocated from Bangkok where he last served in a dual capacity as Hotel Manager of Lancaster Bangkok and Area Director of Rooms of Landmark Lancaster Hotel Group, Thailand. Taro was a Shangri-La, as well as a SHATEC (Singapore Hotel and Tourism Education Centre) scholar at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and graduated with a BSc degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA. Taro is a national of Singapore, with permanent residencies in both United States and Thailand.
