Bringing a thoughtful, guest-centric approach shaped by years of boutique hospitality experience in New York, Los Angeles, and Laguna Beach, Cahill will oversee operations and guest experiences for both of SCP’s Laguna Beach hotels.

The flagship Montage Hotels & Resorts property, Montage Laguna Beach, has announced the appointment of Anne Marie Doyle as hotel manager. A critical resort team member since 2018, Doyle will return to operations after nearly two decades excelling in sales and marketing positions in the United States and Ireland. Prior to transitioning into sales and marketing roles, Doyle succeeded in several operational positions in Ireland and England and brings thirty years of industry experience to her appointment as hotel manager. In her new role, she will lead day-to-day operations of the renowned oceanfront resort, including oversight of rooms, food & beverage, spa, security, and guiding the associates in creating a remarkable guest experience.

David Serus has been appointed as Executive Chef at Montage Laguna Beach

Raised in Le Mans, France, and taking early inspiration from watching his grandmother in her kitchen and working at his uncle's bakery during school vacations, Serus knew early on excelling at fine hotel restaurants would be his chosen career. After attending cooking school in Quimper, France, he served a year in the French navy and then worked at two Michelin Star restaurants - one in London and the other in the South of France. He went on to work seven years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, followed by 17 years working for The Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Resorts across the U.S., including serving as executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, Arizona; The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grand Lakes, Florida; and The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. In 2013, Serus was awarded the prestigious title of Maître Cuisiniers de France (Master Chef of France) from the French culinary community, of which there are only 86 in the U.S. He's an avid cookbook collector and enjoys exploring the region on his motorcycle.

Doyle joins Montage Laguna Beach from The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, where she was director of sales and marketing and focused on transitioning the former Bacara Resort into a luxury Ritz-Carlton. Previously, Doyle was a director of sales and marketing working with luxury properties on both sides of the Atlantic, including The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage, California; and properties in Ireland and England including The Ritz-Carlton, Powerscourt in County Wicklow; Fitzpatrick Lifestyle Hotels in Dublin; The Shelbourne Dublin, A Renaissance Hotel; Marriott Druids Glen Resort in Newton Mount Kennedy; Cliveden House Hotel in Taplow, Berkshire; The Copthorne Hotel; and Conrad International. She also spent several years in managerial positions, notably four years as general manager of The Glenview Hotel in Glen of the Downs, Ireland.

Tuerck comes to Montage Laguna Beach from the Canyon Ranch SpaClub in Las Vegas, where she spearheaded the launch of the SpaClub's Comprehensive Foot Health Center and Advanced Facial Program; managed the development and training of the Canyon Ranch SpaClub management team; coordinated the staff training of 19 Canyon Ranch SpaClubs aboard cruise ships worldwide; and served on the design and development teams for many new Canyon Ranch properties. In 1999, she began her tenure with the company as an exercise physiologist and continued to achieve successive promotions to fitness lead, wellness manager and associate spa director, until her appointment as spa director in 2012.

Thomas Lee has been appointed as General Manager at Pacific Edge Hotel, a Joie de Vivre Hotel

Lee, a native of Newport Beach and now Irvine resident, most recently held various senior-­‐level positions within the Davidson Hotel Company, where he spent seven years working with brands such as Starwood, Hilton, Hyatt and Intercontinental. Prior to joining the team at Davidson, Lee played a key role in notable projects including the re-­‐launch of the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, the Governor’s Ball at The Academy Awards, and the production of numerous high-­‐profile events and initiatives within the hospitality and entertainment industries in Los Angeles. Lee started his hospitality career as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Sofitel in Beverly Hills and at the Bel Age Hotel on the famed Sunset Strip. Lee is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Master’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration.
