Bob Jensch has been appointed as Managing Director at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe

Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe, debuting in Winter 2023 as the brand's first lodging location in a ski destination, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Jensch as managing director. Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe will be the only all-suite resort in the south Lake Tahoe basin, nestled at the base of Tahoe's Heavenly Mountain Resort in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. In his new role, Jensch will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's operations, focusing on delivering outstanding guest satisfaction, enhancing operational efficiencies, and fostering a positive work environment. His passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, coupled with his expertise in driving revenue growth and operational excellence, make him the perfect fit for this role.

Joelle Shearin has been appointed as General Manager and President at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe

Shearin will oversee all operations for the fully integrated gaming resort. Her most recent role was vice president and general manager at the Argosy Casino Alton in Alton, Ill., as the first female general manager for Penn National Gaming. There she facilitated day-to-day gaming operations with more than 800 slot machines and 12 table games as well as multiple restaurants. She oversaw and completed an extensive interior remodel and redesign. Shearin refined her skills in crisis management by reopening the property on multiple occasions after record flooding forced two closures within 16 months.

Bernd Pichler has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, located mid-mountain at Northstar California Resort, is pleased to announce the new appointment of Bernd Pichler as hotel manager. Pichler joins the luxury mountain resort with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and an impressive background in sales and operations spanning internationally.

Bruce Seigel has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

Mr Seigel joins the luxury mountain resort with more than three decades of hospitality management experience, including nearly 18 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. A tenured industry sales and marketing veteran, Mr Seigel will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the resort, including financial performance, employee/guest engagement, community relationships, partnerships and talent development. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, Mr Seigel served as Area Director of Sales and Marketing of The Ritz-Carlton’s Caribbean and Mexico region, where he was responsible for leading the sales and marketing cluster strategy for seven luxury Ritz-Carlton Resorts. Prior to his time in the Caribbean, he served as Market Director of Sales and Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples, two of the most iconic resorts in the brand’s portfolio.

Chris Skelding has been appointed as Director of Sales, Marketing and Events at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino

Mr Skelding most recently served as the Director of Sales at the flagship Hyatt Regency Chicago. He began his career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts at Hyatt Regency Chicago in 1999 where he served as Operations Manager and then Catering Sales Manager. He started his career in hospitality when he was just 14 working at his local country club in Indiana.

John Carter has been appointed as Director of Leisure Sales at Resort at Squaw Creek™

Carter brings a wealth of luxury hospitality experience to his new position. Prior to moving to Lake Tahoe for the opportunity with Resort at Squaw Creek, Carter served as a specialty travel consultant with tour operator Alpine Adventures. He has also served as director of sales and marketing at several mountain destination properties including The Sky Hotel in Aspen, Colorado, and The Hotel Telluride in Telluride, Colorado.
