Marriott International, Inc. and Sands China Ltd. are set to redefine luxury in Macao with the signing of an agreement to debut The Luxury Collection brand to the market. Anticipated to open in January 2025, Londoner Grand, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Macao is poised to cater to the world's discerning travelers, blending the brand's authentic take on luxury with the city's local charm to provide a unique and enriching travel experience.

Versace Hotel Opens in Macau

Versace has inaugurated a brand-new hotel in Macau, featuring 271 rooms spread over three towers and 12 levels. This establishment, Palazzo Versace Macau, represents the brand's inaugural resort venture in Asia, showcasing a blend of classical Baroque and Ancient Greek architectural influences under the artistic guidance of Donatella Versace. Throughout the premises, Versace's iconic Milanese elements such as the Medusa emblem, Greca design, and Barocco motif are interwoven with traditional Chinese symbols including chrysanthemums and dragons.

Vikram Reddy has been named Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip, with his most recent appointment as Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai before arriving in Macau. With more than 25 years with Four Seasons, Reddy's invaluable experience and insights have had proven impact at Four Seasons properties in Singapore, Jakarta, Bali at Jimbaran Bay, Philadelphia and Mumbai in the past decades. His guidance and vision will be instrumental in the opening of the new tower of Four Seasons Macao, slated for 2020.

Jean-Yong Pittion has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at Sheraton Grande Macao Hotel and the St. Regis Macao

Mr. Jean-Yong Pittion is Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage for Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central and The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central, reporting directly to Ms. Janet McNab, Managing Director of Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and The St. Regis Macao. Mr. Pittion oversees all of the restaurants, bars and lounges as well as the banqueting operations for both properties. At just five years of age, Mr. Pittion moved from his birthplace of Korea to Burgundy, France where French naturally became his mother tongue. After spending more than three decades in Europe – working for prestigious 5-star establishments such as the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, the Park Hyatt ParisVendôme, the legendary Hôtel Plaza Athénée and working with world-renowned chefs at Michelin-starred restaurants – he now brings his experience back to Asia.

Goran Aleks has been appointed as Vice President Operations, Luxury and Upscale, South China, General Manager at Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16

AccorHotels has appointed Mr. Goran Aleks in the dual role of Vice President Operations of South China and General Manager of Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16. Based in Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16, Mr. Aleks oversees over 40 properties both in operation and under development across south China, including the luxury and upscale brands of Sofitel, Pullman and MGallery by Sofitel, as well as Grand Mercure and AccorHotels in Hong Kong.

Klaus Michael Kallweit has been appointed as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Macau

According to the information released by the hotel, the appointed commenced his career as apprentice chef at a small family hotel in Germany in 1988. He spent three years developing his skill before joining the international hotel company, Steinberger Hotel Axemannstein Bad Reichenhall, to expand his culinary experience. A few years later, Chef Klaus left his home country and the company with his last position of Chef Saucier at the Hamburg property. In May 1997, he moved to London to explore the culinary scene there by taking up the position of Senior Chef de Partie at the Landmark Hotel London. After two and a half years, he moved onto Australia to continue his culinary voyage by joining Hyatt International as a Sous Chef, and was promptly promoted to Chef de Cuisine. During his two years tenure with Hyatt, he was awarded as Manager of the Year in 2001. His culinary journey took him to United Arab Emirates when he joined Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai in March 2002. Having held several strategic roles in the international hotel chains for over 16 years, Chef Klaus began his relations with Four Seasons in January 2004, taking up the position of Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane London, before he expanded his horizon to Asia in March 2006, when he was transferred to Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbarran Bay, and was promoted to Executive Chef, overseeing the Resort’s five food and beverage operations and the kitchen team including the Resort’s Cooking School. Invited by Four Seasons Hotel, Chef Klaus stepped forward to Macau in July 2012.
