The Mannheimer Hof, a historic hotel in Mannheim, has officially reopened its doors after undergoing significant renovations. Now part of the Leonardo Limited Edition brand, the hotel combines its classic heritage with modern amenities.
Today Hilton Garden Inn Mannheim will welcome its very first guests. With 195 spacious and comfortable rooms and two suites, the hotel on Willy-Brandt-Platz next to Mannheim's ICE train station is the latest German hotel in the steadily growing Hilton Garden Inn portfolio, one of Hilton's (NYSE: HLT) 17 world-leading hotel brands.
The NYX Hotel Mannheim (address: F4 4-11, 68159 Mannheim) is being built on the site of the former Wyndham Mannheim Hotel, which was taken over by Leonardo Hotels on August 1 2018.
Mannheim proudly presents its new project of the coming year: The NOVUM Hotel Group, together with the project developer GBl AG, is planning a Millennial brand niu hotel in the Seckenheimer street near the historic city center. The opening of this 170-room hotel is scheduled for November 2018. "The strategic selection of our location is the most important part of our dynamic expansion. Mannheim is the economic and cultural center of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and is located directly in the "Dreiländereck", the tri-border area," says David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer & owner of the NOVUM Hotel Group. Together with GBI AG, the Hamburg group is already planning several hotel projects. "The cooperation has proven to be extremely efficient. The facade is being designed by the Prasch Buken Partner architect"s office and JOI-Design is responsible for the interior design.

The NOVUM Hotel Group is doing it again – they are planning a trendy Novum Style Hotel in Mannheim with 168 rooms in cooperation with the project developer GBI AG. The location for this budget hotel with its stylish design has been well chosen, ideally positioned close to the Europaplatz and the city's main traffic artery, the Augustaanlage. GBI AG purchased the property – an unused car park – from the city by arrangement and with consultation performed by the Podstawski Group from Viernheim. The planning permission was issued beginning of December. Decisions have also been made already upon the design of the NOVUM Style Hotel façade. The architects of prasch buken partner from Hamburg won the architectural competition. The opening will be in 2019. The fashionable Living Lobby at the NOVUM Style Hotel will become a venue for hotel guests as well as for people from the neighbourhood – offering a specially designed Coffee Bar, a Pop-up Store, high-speed WiFi, cosy and comfortable seating furniture as well as work places for co-working. 'Our advanced concept will considerably contribute to a good work-life balance for our guests, particularly in the buzzing metropolis of Mannheim,' summarises David Etmenan, Managing Partner of the NOVUM Group. A lot of emphasis is placed on the interior of the guest rooms and bathrooms by using a stylish design and rendering the use of the rooms as simple as possible. Several hotel projects are being developed at present by NOVUM Hotels and GBI AG mutually and the cooperation is due to be extended further. "Mannheim, as the centre of the Rhein-Neckar metropolitan area, is progressing to become one of the most advanced economic areas in Europe. Locally born Joachim Sommer has been at the helm of the InterCityHotel Mannheim since the beginning of October, having made the move from the nearby InterCityHotel Speyer, where he held the position of Director until mid-2012. There was a change in management at the InterCityHotel Mannheim on 1 October, when Joachim Sommer formally took over as the establishment's new Director. Mr. Sommer succeeds Robert Boller, who moved to the Head Office of the Steigenberger Hotel Group.
