Keyshon Desergant has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at The Admiral Hotel

As a Los Angeles native, Keyshon began his career at The Mondrian in West Hollywood, where he started as a Doorman and quickly rose through the ranks. Most recently, Keyshon served as Director of Food & Beverage at Great Wolf Lodge, where he sharpened his leadership skills by managing large teams and driving operational excellence across food and beverage operations. His dedication to creating everlasting guest experiences and passion for high-quality service align seamlessly with Avocet's commitment to exceptional hospitality. His focus will be on creating a welcoming and memorable atmosphere at Le Moyne's Chophouse, solidifying the steak house as a must-visit destination in Mobile, while also fostering a culture of excellence among the team.

First Hyatt Studio branded Hotel to open in Mobile, Alabama (Tillman’s Corner)

3H Group, Inc, founded by Hiren Desai, an expert in the select service space, has entered into a franchise agreement with Hyatt to build the inaugural Hyatt Studios hotel in Tillman's Corner, just outside of Mobile, Alabama. The site will mark Hyatt's first branded hotel in the area and is strategically located near Mobile Bay's Gulf Coast, providing extended-stay guests exceptional value and easy access to this rapidly expanding port city. In addition to attracting tourism, the city boasts a diverse range of industries in manufacturing, aerospace, and commercial retail, further enhancing its midscale appeal. This property is set to open in late 2024.

Terell Ham has been appointed as General Manager at The Admiral

Ham has been with Avocet Hospitality since 2014, working his way through positions including Restaurant General Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Assistant General Manager and in June 2023, he was appointed General Manager of The Admiral hotel in Mobile, Alabama. His first project will be to oversee a property-wide renovation that will introduce a new, vibrant hotel to the city with a design that pays homage to Mobile's storied history. Prior to making the move to Mobile, Ham worked at The Vendue, Avocet Hospitality's hotel in Charleston, where he held the role of Assistant General Manager. In this position, Ham oversaw food and beverage operations and assisted in implementing the unique Guest Experience Manager (GEMs) program. Known for his creativity and passion, Ham embodies the spirited Avocet Hospitality mentality and is eager to bring this energy to this newly reimagined hotel.
