Reginald Campbell has been named Director of Food & Beverage at Villas of Grand Cypress

This appointment represents a promotion for Reginald Campbell, who previously served as director of outlets at Villas of Grand Cypress. Prior to joining Benchmark, Mr. Campbell invested 24 years of his hospitality career with Walt Disney World, serving in food and beverage positions of increasing responsibility within the theme parks, hotels, and Disney's Pleasure Island. While with Disney, Mr. Campbell helped open Disney Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Paris.Reginald Campbell is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is the recipient of the Walt Disney World Certificate of Sommelier and the Walt Disney World's Partner in Excellence award. While with Villas of Grand Cypress, he received the Exceptional Manager award on more than one occasion. He is active in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, and resides in Apopka, Florida.

Over the course of two decades in the hotel industry, Cabrera has amassed a notable track record for generating year-over-year sales increases at his properties. He joins Hilton Orlando during the hotel's pivotal 10th anniversary and will oversee strategic development to prepare for another successful decade-plus in operation. In his new role, Cabrera will supervise daily operations for each of the hotel's departments, implementing new strategies that build upon the hotel's reputation for unmatched guest satisfaction. Joining at a transformative time for the property, he will also be responsible for directing capital projects as the property continues to accommodate the growing group sales market from the Orange County Convention Center, a formal extension of the resort. Erynn Torrenga has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Sales, East at INTELITY

John Power has been named General Manager at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites

Loews Hotels & Co, in partnership with Universal Orlando Resort, has named John Power as the general manager of Universal's Endless Summer Resort - Surfside Inn and Suites. The 750-room property is set to open this summer and will become the destination's seventh hotel. When its sister hotel, Dockside Inn and Suites, opens in 2020, the Universal Orlando destination will offer a total of 9,000 hotel rooms.Originally from Ireland, Power has more than 20 years of hospitality experience in Europe, the Caribbean and North America. He was previously the general manager of Loews Hotel 1000, Seattle and Loews Minneapolis Hotel. During his tenure at Loews Hotel 1000, he oversaw a multi-million dollar renovation and helped integrate Loews Hotels & Co's renowned service culture with the distinct character of the Pacific Northwest.Power joined Loews Hotels & Co in 2010 as the opening director of rooms at Loews Atlanta Hotel and established himself as an exemplary leader. In 2011, Power became the director of rooms for Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando and in 2013, moved into the hotel's director of food and beverage position. Prior to joining Loews Hotels & Co, Power worked for Hyatt Hotels for 10 years, starting as an intern and ascending to various leadership roles within the company.

Star Wars Hotel to Debut in Disney World

Next year, Disney will be bringing the beloved galaxy far, far away to Disneyland and Disney World resorts with a Star Wars theme park, Galaxy's Edge, and today fans learned more about the new Star Wars-themed hotel at Disney World. Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products chairman Bob Chapek unveiled new concept art that showcases the shuttle pod transportation at the hotel. While you may not be actually flying around in a Star Wars spacecraft during your visit, it sure will feel like it.

Marriott International, Inc. today announced that a combined 180-suite SpringHill Suites and 155-suite TownePlace Suites hotel in Orlando, Florida will open on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Located at 8040 Palm Parkway, the property will be managed by InterMountain Management, LLC of Monroe Louisiana. General Manager Clint Militzer and Director of Sales Nicole Belue lead the management team for InterMountain Management.

Dan Sellers has been named Hospitality Design Manager at HKS

HKS announces the return of Dan Sellers, AIA, as Hospitality Design Manager at the firm's Orlando office. Sellers brings over 25 years of experience in design, master planning, programming, management and more. While his primary focus is luxury hospitality and high-profile entertainment, his work has spanned across various industries such as high-end residential, retail, commercial and healthcare. His robust portfolio includes some of HKS' notable hospitality projects such a as Atlantis Paradise Island, Disney's Boardwalk and Rosewood's Ventanas al Pa radiso, as well as Seuss Landing at Universal's Islands of adventure. He previously held the role as Director of Architecture for Marriot Vacation Club International., working internationally. Harold Bassler has been appointed as General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld

Since obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Organizational Theory from the University of Maryland University College, Bassler has spent more than 30 years in management positions, notable recognized as one of the youngest Innkeepers in the Holiday Inn system during the early days of the organization. Most recently, he served as the regional director of operations and area general manager for Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Through his tenure in the industry, Bassler has been recognized with numerous awards and appointments, including selection of Hilton Worldwide to join the elite group of general managers who comprise the Hilton Executive Roundtable.
