Holiday Inn Pattaya is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Gerits as General Manager, where she brings with her over 19 years of experience in the InterContinental Hotels Group. Kate commenced her career in hotel operations in 1995 at Holiday Inn Old Sydney before being accepted into the Corporate Traineeship Program. Since then, she has worked across various properties including Landmark Parkroyal Sydney, Holiday Inn Brisbane, Crowne Plaza Newcastle, and Holiday Inn Darwin. At present, Kate is also the current brand advocate for Holiday Inn Australasia, and is well-recognised as the driving force in the successful IHG Rewards Clu b program.

Robert Lohrmann has been appointed as General Manager at Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya

Mr Lohrmann is an American national and holds a bachelor degree in psychology from William Paterson State University in New Jersey, USA. He has over 35 years of experience in hotel management and has worked many years Internationally for Marriott Hotels. With Marriott, he has held General Manager and VP positions in notable properties such as JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, JW Marriott Beijing, Ritz Carlton Hotel Beijing, JW Marriott Seoul, Korea and the Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa Hainan, China.

Brendan brings to his new role over 12 years of experience in successful hotel operations management from across Thailand and Australia with Sheraton, Accor, Darling Harbour Hotels, and Sofitel. Philippe Kronberg has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Pattaya

Holding dual citizenship of France and Australia, Philippe is well versed in hotel management, having gained rich experience in the hospitality industry, over 10 years of which has been spent with Hilton Worldwide. His climb into the industry began with the Ritz London Ltd which was his ascendance right after his professional education from 'Les Roches' Switzerland. He had also worked in a number of Hilton Worldwide properties in China, Japan, Australia and Europe. Philippe's investment into the industry has culminated in his completion of his Hotel management MBA awarded by the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney.

David Cumming has been appointed as General Manager at Amari Orchid Resort & Tower

Before joining Amari, Mr Cumming, a British national and graduate in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Administration, accumulated a wealth of experience in international hospitality management in Great Britain, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Oman and in Bangkok. In 2004, he joined Amari Hotels and Resorts, as Executive Assistant Manager Food & Beverage Division and then Resident Manager in 2006 at the 5-star Amari Watergate Hotel, Bangkok. Mr Cumming now oversees the smooth running of the very popular 5-star Amari Orchid Resort & Tower, Pattaya. Seksan Sukcharoen has been appointed as General Manager at Best Western Premier Signature Pattaya

Sukcharoen brings 18 years of hospitality experience to the position, having served in managerial posts at a number of hotels and resorts in some of Thailand’s top tourist destinations, including Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Samed Island. He started his hospitality career in 1990 as front office manager for the Grand Garden Resort & Golf Club and later moved to work in the same position for the Green World Hot Spring Hotel Resort & Golf Club, Kanchanaburi, and Welcome Jomtien Beach Hotel. Sukcharoen also has extensive experience in city center properties such as the Siam Heritage Boutique Suites in Bangkok and resort operations, including Mantra Pura Resort and Spa in Pattaya, where he was general manager. Before joining Best Western Premier Signature Pattaya, he headed the pre-opening team of Best Western Chiang Mai and, as general manager, provided direction for the hotel’s business goals and operations. With his new appointment, Sukcharoen takes on the responsibility of implementing international operations standards and revenue maximization as well as the establishment of the hotel’s operational and financial goals.
