Grace Bay Resorts has appointed Tracey Oliver as General Manager of South Bank, the brand's newest luxury development in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. Oliver assumes the role as the property enters its next phase of growth following its inaugural year of operations after its November 2024 opening. IHG’s Caribbean presence expands into Turks & Caicos with three distinct luxury and lifestyle retreats

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world's leading hotel companies, today announced three signings across its fast-growing global luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Turks & Caicos for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Hotel Indigo. Franck Chantoiseau has been appointed as General Manager at Rock House

Wilbert Mason has been appointed as Managing Director at Ocean Club Management Ltd. and Ocean Club Resorts

Tom Lewis, CEO of Ocean Club Resorts, two sister destinations each located on the award-winning Grace Bay Beach, has announced today the new appointment of Wilbert Mason as Managing Director for Ocean Club Management Ltd. and Ocean Club Resorts. Wilbert, a Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA), holds a Master’s Certificate in Food and Beverage Management and Revenue Management along with a certificate in Digital Marketing from Cornell University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Hospitality from Utah Valley University, and a Master of Business Administration from Regis University.

Gansevoort Turks + Caicos Reopening Oct. 5

Gansevoort Turks + Caicos, a full-service luxury resort in Providenciales (Provo), Turks and Caicos, will reopen for the upcoming fall and winter season on Thursday, October 5, 2017. After the passing of Hurricane Irma and Maria, the resort was fortunate to not have sustained any major damage, and team has been hard at work completing beautification and landscaping projects around the property. Christopher Meredith has been appointed as Group Director of Food & Beverage at Grace Bay Resorts

Grace Bay Resorts today announced the appointment of Chef Christopher Meredith as Group Director of Food & Beverage. Meredith brings more than 20 years of extensive knowledge in the food and beverage industry to the role, where he is responsible for the management and successful operation of all dining outlets at Grace Bay Resorts’ properties, including Grace Bay Club, West Bay Club and The Private Villa Collection. Meredith launched his career in the United Kingdom where he rose through the ranks at some of the top Michelin-starred kitchens in the world. At the age of 29, Meredith landed the title of Executive Chef at The Samling Hotel in Ambleside, where he earned his first Michelin Star. He went on to earn his second Michelin Star when he headed the kitchen at Gilpin Lodge, and was named Upcoming Chef of the Year by Relais and Chateaux in 2007. Meredith went on to hold leadership positions at renowned eateries across the United Kingdom, including Culinary Director at Punch Bowl Inn, which was named Michelin Pub of the Year in 2009 under his supervision, and Executive Chef at Coworth Park, a luxurious five-star country house hotel and part of the iconic Dorchester Collection. Next, he served as Executive Chef at the iconic Sandy Lane resort in Barbados before moving on to the role of Culinary Director at Raffles Seychelles, a luxury resort in the heart of Praslin, where he oversaw ten separate food and beverage outlets and led a team of more than 110 staff members before joining the team at Grace Bay Resorts. When not in the kitchen, Chris enjoys cycling, squash, motorsports and paddle boarding with his daughter. Dant Hirsch has been appointed as Regional General Manager at COMO Parrot Cay

The Northern Caribbean’s pre-eminent private island will be managed by Dant Hirsch in the role of Regional General Manager. Dant will also be taking charge of COMO’s sister property in the Sunshine State, COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach. Dant is a Canadian national. He joins the COMO family after his recent role as General Manager at the Faena Hotel Miami with experience gained managing luxury hotels for The Ritz-Carlton group and Starwood’s prestigious St Regis Hotels and Resorts. Dant takes pride in striving for excellence; he will focus on the resort and its private residences.

E. Rhonda Bastian has been appointed as Executive Manager at The Somerset Resort on Grace Bay

A native of the Bahamas, Bastian brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to the position. Her career includes various leadership positions at some of the Caribbean’s most recognized properties including such Bahamas properties as The Cove and The Reefs Atlantis on Paradise Island, British Colonial Hilton and the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa in Nassau. Bastian has also worked at destination management company Cacique International and has been a head agent, supervisor and certified trainer with American Airlines. She is a graduate of the American Airlines Learning Center and the Bahamas Hotel Training College.

John Vasatka has been named General Manager at The Veranda Resort

Grace Bay Resorts, the internationally acclaimed operator behind Grace Bay Club and The Veranda Resort, continues to expand its talent pool with the addition of John Vasatka as General Manager for the five-star, fully-inclusive Veranda Resort. With 28 years of international hospitality experience, Vasatka is well-suited to oversee all operations and guest services for the 168-room, 10-acre property, including eight private beachfront villas, Marin, the resort’s signature beachfront restaurant with second-floor Sky Lounge, Sabai Spa by Elemis, VIK Kids Town, three swimming pools, a tennis court and meeting facilities. Mona Beeson has been appointed as General Manager at The Sands at Grace Bay

The Sands at Grace Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Mona Beeson as the resort’s new General Manager, as of September 1, 2011. Beeson brings over 32 years of hospitality experience to the luxurious Providenciales resort, having most recently served as the Resident Manager for The Sands at Grace Bay’s sister-property - The Regent Palms Resort, Turks & Caicos. Beeson acquired extensive industry knowledge and leadership experience through Marriott Hotels, where she held several key management positions over a 24-year period. Beeson spent 16 successful years at the Albuquerque, New Mexico Marriott Hotel where she escalated to the Director of Rooms Operations. She continued on to five revered Marriott property locations including Marriott’s Grand Hotel Resort in Point Clear, Alabama, as Resident Manager, the Crystal Palace Resort and Casino in Cable Beach Bahamas, as the Executive Director of the Rooms Division, then on to the New Orleans Marriott, as Front Office Manager, and at the Courtyard by Marriott in Metairie, Louisiana, as General Manager. Finally Mona arrived in Houston, Texas at the JW Marriott at the Galleria as Director of Operations. Seeking a new career challenge in the land of sea and sun, Mona arrived on Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos in 2007 to join Regent Hotels. In February 2007, Mona was appointed to serve as Resident Manager for The Regent Palms Resort, Turks & Caicos. During her five years as Resident Manager, The Regent Palms Resort received several prestigious awards including Robb Report’s, "Top 100 Resorts In The World" award as well as global travel recognition by the World Travel Awards, which named The Regent Palms Resort the "Turks and Caicos Leading Hotel."

Alan Lawley has been appointed as Development Director and Operations Manager at Villa del Mar Turks and Caicos

Villa del Mar, a luxury, boutique hotel in the heart of world-renowned Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos Islands, today announced the appointment of Alan M. Lawley as development director and operations manager. In this new role, Lawley will focus on expanding the resort's range of guest services, and oversee the second phase of development at the popular condo-hotel style property.
