Esteemed culinary professional Alexander La Motte has been appointed executive chef of Rosewood CordeValle, the ultra-luxury resort located in San Martin, California.
Marline Avelar has been appointed director of sales and marketing of Rosewood CordeValle, the luxury resort located in San Martin, California. In this role, Avelar will oversee the resort's sales and marketing departments, acting as a leader in innovation and strategy. As part of her recent promotion, Avelar will call upon her strong leadership skills and wealth of knowledge to develop and implement creative sales and marketing plans for Rosewood CordeValle.
Victor Palma has been appointed executive chef of golf resort, Rosewood CordeValle, located in San Martin, California. In his new role, Palma will lead the culinary team at the resort’s three distinctive dining venues: Il Vigneto, Lion’s Peak Grill and One Iron Bar.
Rosewood CordeValle, a golf resort located in the Northern Californian city of San Martin, has appointed Kimberly Kuramuto as spa manager for the resort’s Sense, A Rosewood Spa. Ms. Kuramuto brings almost ten years of experience in luxury hospitality to her new role. As spa manager, Ms. Kuramuto will oversee high-level operations of Sense, A Rosewood Spa while continuing to guide and expand the spa’s programming.
Mr. Rutigliano most recently served as resort manager for Rosewood CordeValle, a position he had held since 2012. Prior to this, he was executive chef and oversaw the resort’s food and beverage programming and three signature dining venues. During his tenure with Rosewood, Mr. Rutigliano also worked at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York. His previous experience includes positions at five-star properties in Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean, most notably at Canouan Resort at Carenage Bay in the West Indies.
Mr. Eichenberger joins Rosewood CordeValle after more than 13 years of management and training experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Most recently, he held the position of executive assistant manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, where he worked directly with the general manager overseeing the hotel operation. Prior to that, Mr. Eichenberger held management roles at the Fancourt Hotel & Estate in George, South Africa, serving as the conferencing and banqueting manager before being promoted to food and beverage director.
Chef Wetzel rejoins CordeValle following his most recent position as Executive Chef of Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville, CA. Prior to this role, Wetzel served as Executive Sous Chef of CordeValle, managing all kitchen operations for the property’s three restaurants in addition to serving as a consultant on the kitchen openings for two of the most notable restaurants in the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts collection: Madera, the one Michelin star restaurant at Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, CA, and the widely-acclaimed Hawksworth Restaurant at Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, BC.
Fleck joins the CordeValle team after five impressive years as sales manager at Seascape Beach Resort, in nearby Aptos, Calif. Besides sales, Fleck played a role in the resort’s website redesign and maintenance, as well as developing social media. Fleck, a native and current resident of La Selva Beach, was named Seascape’s Manager of the Year in 2010.
Holland, who most recently served as director of group sales at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro, Georgia, brings more than 13 years of golf resort experience to his new role. He has also held senior sales positions at properties including the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa, Pinehurst Resort, and The Club at Seabrook Island. Additionally, CordeValle Sales Manager Ashley French has been promoted to director of group sales. French has been a key member of CordeValle’s sales team since 2007 and has previously held sales and marketing posts at renowned properties that include Quail Lodge Resort and Golf Club and Bernardus Lodge, both in Carmel, California.
