Royalton Chic Antigua Officially Opens Its Doors

Royalton CHIC Antigua, the highly anticipated adults-only all-inclusive resort, officially opened its doors today, marking a significant milestone for top-tier lifestyle travel in this region of the Caribbean. Blue Diamond Resorts Expands to Antigua

Royalton CHIC Antigua is set to debut and welcome guests to the leeward island, where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, in early April 2024. Coaxing spirited travelers with a vibrant and social all-inclusive vacation experience, designed exclusively for adults, the beachfront resort is set on the northwest coast of Antigua. Situated along a sandy beachfront that shimmers in the sun in the day and moonlight at night, Royalton CHIC Antigua will feature 235 stylish rooms and suites. Each features a balcony or terrace for breathtaking ocean and sunset views, and modern décor in keeping with sister Royalton CHIC Resorts in Punta Cana and Cancun. Paolo Rovoletto has been named General Manager at Elite Island Resorts

Rovoletto most recently served as general manager of the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort, also on Antigua. Prior to his four-year tenure there, he served as general manager of the following Caribbean resorts: Villas at Palms & Club Cala in Humacao, Puerto Rico; the Ramada Hotel Condado in San Juan, Puerto Rico; and the Cayman Resort Hotel in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, among others. His work experience also includes consultancy for a 320-room hotel and casino opening and residential project management. Rovoletto holds a degree in property operations, maintenance and renovation management from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and Center for Professional Development. He speaks five languages, including Italian, Spanish, English, French and German.

Yann Giacomoni has been appointed as Executive Chef at Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort

Giacomoni is no stranger to the myriad demands of hotel dining. He joins Jumby Bay from St. Regis Punta Mita, an AAA 5-Diamond resort where he served as Executive Chef since May 2008. He held the same position at each of five previous postings going back to 1991, including at Le Méridien Cancun Resort & Spa (2004-2008); Sofitel Minneapolis (2002-2004); Le Méridien Noumea (1999-2002); Le Méridien Nirwana Bali (1998-1999); and Le Méridien San Diego at Coronado in San Diego, California (1991-1997). Giacomoni got his start in 1977 as Commis de Cuisine at Chez Astoux, a trendy restaurant on La Croissette in Cannes, France. A native of France, Giacomoni earned culinary diplomas at Lycée Hotelier de Nice. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
