Jennifer Johnson has been appointed as Operations Manager at Aloft Tallahassee Downtown

Jennifer Johnson is Aloft Tallahassee Downtown's new operations manager. She had to travel all of two blocks for her new position, having previously served as the front office manager for the Hotel Duval, Autograph Collection. Jennifer started as a guest service representative there in September 2014 and in less than a year-and-half was appointed front desk manager.

Brandon Miller has been promoted to General Manager at Aloft Tallahassee Downtown

Brandon Miller, Aloft Tallahassee Downtown's new general manager, was promoted from his position as assistant general manager, a post he took over in May 2017 after arriving from the Nashville Airport Marriott. During his 11-year tenure there, Brandon rose through the ranks, holding such posts as restaurant supervisor, front office manager, and senior room operations manager.

Carrie Duncan has been appointed as General Manager at Aloft Tallahassee Downtown

Carrie Duncan has been named the new General Manager at the Aloft Tallahassee Downtown. Duncan has spent over 11 years working in management in a wide variety of hotels in the Midwest and Florida, including brands such as Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and Homewood Suites by Hilton. She joined McKibbon in 2012 and was most recently the general manager at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gainesville, Florida. Throughout her career, Duncan has received multiple awards including Homewood Suites Merit Award for Year Over Year Extended Stay Occupancy in 2011 and Apple REIT Master of Margins Award in 2011 and 2014. The award is given each year to hotels with the highest profit margin growth year of year. Duncan will assume the general manager position at Aloft Tallahassee Downtown in early April.

Amanda Morrison has been appointed as Manager of Conference Services and Events at Hotel Duval (Autograph Collection)

James Roberts has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Hotel Duval in Tallahassee

Roberts comes to Hotel Duval from the Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village in Destin, Fla., where he served as Rooms Division Manager and acting General Manager in the absence of the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the Emerald Grande team, Roberts worked on the resort operations team for Wyndham Vacation Resorts. During his time with Wyndham, Roberts assisted in the opening of a newly-acquired 260-unit property, training and developing the guest services department.

Steven Adams has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at Hotel Duval

Steven Adams has been promoted from Head Coach of Shula’s 347 Grill to Director of Food & Beverage of Hotel Duval. Responsible for the entire food and beverage experience throughout the property, including Shula’s 347 Grill, LeRoc, in-room dining and Level 8, Adams brings more than a decade of food and beverage experience and has been a part of the Hotel Duval team since preopening. Before joining the Hotel Duval team, Adams was the director of food & beverage for Georgian Terrace Hotel and general manager of the hotel’s Livingston Restaurant. Other positions Adams held include food and beverage director at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Buckhead and manager at Kyma & Atlanta Fish Market, both in Atlanta, GA.

Pam Monnier has been appointed as Director of Meetings and Special Events at Hotel Duval

Monnier’s decorated background includes her most recent experience at Florida State University as the director of industry relations for the Dedman School of Hospitality. Previous to academia, she spent eight years with Club Corp, Inc. at the University Center Club in Tallahassee, Fl. as the senior director of catering and private events, where she added the roll of director of skybox catering to her repertoire. In prior years, Monnier, served as general manager and banquet sales coordinator and event planner of Chez Pierre restaurant in Tallahassee. Before making the move to Tallahassee, Monnier also opened a restaurant in Sanibel Island, Fl., which focused on catering and event planning. She began her career at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, Fl. in various food and beverage positions after completing the M.I.T. program on property.
