Kelli Sahara has been appointed as Account Director for Marriott International – Waikiki Complex at Kyo-ya’s beachfront properties in Waikiki

Sahara, who started her hospitality career with Kyo-ya more than 10 years ago, is now the primary sales contact for large local groups that are looking to hold their non-profit, charity galas and events at three of Kyo-ya's beachfront properties in Waikiki, including the Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort and Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa. She most recently was a sales manager in catering, working primarily with destination weddings. Prior to that, she was a coordinator in the complex sales department; early in her career, she was also a concierge at The Royal Hawaiian and served as host help at Azure Restaurant at The Royal Hawaiian. She has won numerous commendations over the years, including "Most Living the Brand" during her management training program, and honorable mention for Front Desk Person of the Year in the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association's (HLTA) Na Po'e Pa'ahana Awards.

Patsy Narimatsu has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Trump® International Hotel Waikiki

Jamie Choi has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Waikiki Beach

Jamie Choi is the new director of sales and marketing at Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio. Choi functions as the leader for the sales and marketing teams of the 601-room hotel overseeing the planning and implementation of strategic programs to drive rooms and catering revenues and achieve property objectives. Choi also manages the overall branding and communications for the hotel continuing to raise awareness and strengthening brand recognition and differentiation. Choi plays a critical role in supporting the hotel and the team's reputation for providing high-level guest service experience. For two consecutive years, Hilton Waikiki Beach ranked number one in highest satisfaction and loyalty tracking scores within Hilton Worldwide Americas for hotels with more than 500 rooms.Choi is a two-time recipient of the "Circle of Excellence" by Hilton Worldwide for excellence in revenue management for Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Waikoloa Village. She comes to Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio with a familiarity of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio having served as director of sales and marketing at Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk prior, and DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana, and as regional sales manager for the Hilton Hawaii cluster. She brings international experience to the team as a senior catering sales manager at Renaissance Seoul Hotel and corporate business sales manager at Ritz-Carlton Seoul Hotel in South Korea before moving to Hawaii. Choi has a Bachelor of Science in hotel management from the Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea.

A seasoned hospitality veteran, Wong possesses an extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and the unique qualities of the islands of Hawaii, having previously worked at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, Sheraton Kauai Resort, Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki Hotel and the Hawaii Prince Waikiki Hotel. Prior to his appointment at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, Wong served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Wailea Beach Resort, Marriott-Maui since January 2015.

Kelly Sanders has been appointed as Vice President of Operations at Highgate

Highgate, a premier real estate investment and hospitality management company, has appointed Kelly Sanders as Vice President of Operations, Hawaii. In this role, Sanders will oversee the management of Highgate's expanding portfolio of properties in Hawaii — currently comprised of six assets in Honolulu, including the newly-launched 'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. Sanders joins Highgate after more than 21 years within the Starwood/Marriott global brand. Most recently, he was Area General Manager overseeing five legacy properties in Hawaii, including the oceanfront Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian, A Luxury Collection Resort, The Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort and Spa, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and the Sheraton Maui.   An accomplished industry expert, Sanders was recently appointed a board member of the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) by Governor of Hawaii David Ige. In addition to his extensive background in the hospitality industry, Sanders is active in numerous philanthropic endeavors. He has served as Chair of the Diamond Head Theater, and is a board member of Gregory House Charities, Euro Cinema, Boy Scouts of America and The American Red Cross. He is also the Creative Entertainment Director for the Heart Ball benefiting the American Heart Association of Hawaii.
