Ritchard Cariaga has been appointed as Executive Chef at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Ritchard Cariaga as Executive Chef. Cariaga will be responsible for overseeing the menus and staff for all food and beverage programming at Andaz Maui including Ka'ana Kitchen, Bumbye Beach Bar, and Lehua Lounge, in addition to banquet operations, in-room dining, and overseeing the operations for The Feast at Mokapu Luau.

Dena Roady has been appointed as Area Vice President and General Manager at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

The award-winning Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is pleased to announce that Dena Roady has been appointed as Area Vice President and General Manager effective immediately. A recognized veteran and leader in the hospitality industry, Roady has a long history with Hyatt, which spans 24 years and various roles in 10 North America full-service properties. As General Manager, Roady will act as a key leader at Andaz Maui, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 15-acre beachfront resort and fine-tuning its exceptional amenities and offerings.Roady began her career in 1997 with Hyatt as a as a Corporate Management Trainee in Newport Beach, CA, and has since worked through various operational level positions at Hyatt properties throughout the country. Most recently, Roady was General Manager at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch. Roady also served as General Manager at Andaz 5th Avenue, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa, and Hyatt Market Street, The Woodlands.

Hillary Sandbach has been appointed as Director of Marketing at Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Troy Richardson has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Destination Residences Hawaii

Troy Richardson returns to Maui as director of sales and marketing of Destination Residences Hawai‘i, a resort management company specializing in exclusive vacation residences on Hawaii for more than 30 years. Richardson will focus on innovate sales, marketing programs and delivering authentic guest service experiences within its seven resort communities in Wailea and Makena including Wailea Beach Villas, Wailea Elua Village, Wailea Ekahi Village, Wailea Ekolu Village, Wailea Grand Champions, Polo Beach Club and Makena Surf. Richardson served as director of incentive sales at Hilton Waikoloa Village and national sales manager at The Ritz Carlton Kapalua before launching Opus Group International, a full-service meeting and incentive planning company in California. After successfully leading and growing Opus for four years, Richardson returns to Maui. Richardson’s relevant experience also includes roles as vice president of sales at Total Meetings Solutions and Pacific Partners International, and director of sales and marketing for Seaport Marina Hotel, The Riviera Resort, Doubletree, Embassy Suites and Golden Sails in California.

Mike Cuthbertson has been appointed as Managing Director at Destination Residences Hawai’i

Mike Cuthbertson is the new managing director of Destination Residences Hawai‘i, a resort management company specializing in exclusive vacation residences on Maui for more than 30 years. Its luxury portfolio presents over 270 private homes within seven resort communities in Wailea and Makena including Wailea Beach Villas, Wailea Elua Village, Wailea Ekahi Village, Wailea Ekolu Village, Wailea Grand Champions, Polo Beach Club and Makena Surf. Cuthbertson leads the Destination Residences Hawai‘i’s team in overseeing all the resort properties, expanding guest service experienc e and growing the brand.

Michael Jokovich has been appointed as Area Vice President and General Manager at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

Jokovich has been with Hyatt since 1984 and brings more than three decades of experience to the 15-acre beachfront hotel. In his new role, he will oversee daily operations of the hotel and be responsible for managing all operational aspects at the property including sales, marketing, revenue management, food and beverage and future growth efforts. Most recently he was the area vice president and general manager of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, TX, where he oversaw Hyatt branded properties throughout the central US. Prior to that, he was Area Vice President and General Manager at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco.

Ben Beaudoin has been promoted to VP and managing director at Destination Resorts Hawaii

Danny Mynar has been appointed as Assistant General Manager at Destination Resorts Hawaii

Danny Mynar is named the assistant general manager of Destination Resorts Hawaii by Destination Hotels & Resorts, one of the largest luxury vacation rental companies on Maui. Mynar previously served as general manager of Travaasa Hana. Prior to his most recent post at Travaasa Hana, Mynar held management positions at Grand Wailea, Hyatt Regency Maui and Fairmont Kea Lani.

Scott Boyer has been named Director of Sales & Marketing at Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Boyer will lead and direct the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives to maximize Grand Wailea's service and profitability. Boyer's ability to aggressively identify opportunities, develop focus and provide tactical business solutions has resulted in several high-profile positions in both the United States and Asia. Prior to Grand Wailea, he served as director of sales and marketing in five-star hotels including Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai and Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta; Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel, The Ritz Carlton Osaka and JW Marriott Seoul.
