Hans-Georg Roehrbein has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino

Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Hans-Georg Roehrbein as general manager of the 357-room Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, which recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation. Roehrbein most recently served as general manager of the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino in Egypt, where he oversaw the operation of this more than 1,000-room hotel, with 14 food and beverage outlets, and more than 1,600 team members. Originally from Germany, Roehrbein is a more than 30-year hospitality industry veteran who started his career as a Sous-Chef at the Miami Airport Marriott hotel in Florida. Over the course of more than three decades, Roehrbein developed his skills within the Marriott organization. His first 10 years focused on food and beverage operations at hotels in key U.S. cities and Bermuda, while the latter 20+ years saw Roehrbein acting in general manager and resident manager roles across India, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Egypt and even Aruba, where he opened the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino and acted as resident manager for three years. Roehrbein brings an exceptional operations and food and beverage background, as well as a proven track record for driving guest and team member engagement, while ensuring positive, proactive owner relations. Given his previous stint in Aruba, he is familiar with the destination and excited about returning to take on the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino repositioning.

Romeo Penacino has been promoted to Complex Executive Chef at Aruba Marriott Resort

Chef Penacino also brings valuable food and beverage experience and an international flair to Aruba Marriott’s culinary program starting his career as a Line Cook at the Hotel Melia in Argentina in 2000. Having worked his way up the hotel food chain in Argentina and then the Cayman Islands, Chef Penacino served as Restaurant Supervisor and Restaurant Chef at Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort for five years before joining Aruba Marriott in April of 2013 as Executive Sous Chef. In his new role as Complex Executive Chef, he will continue to oversee all kitchen areas across the complex while improving guest and associate satisfaction and maximizing financial performance for the complex, as well as maintaining the highest standard of culinary excellence.

Teddy Bouroncle has been promoted to Director Food & Beverage Operations at Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

A Peruvian native with nearly 15 years of culinary experience, Bouroncle came to Aruba Marriott Resort by way of the JW Marriott in Cusco, Peru in 2014 and has cooked all over the world from Singapore and Spain to Columbia and the United States. In his new position as Director of F&B Operations, Bouroncle will be assisting the Complex Director of F&B in overseeing all the food and beverage outlets at the resort and ensuring culinary operations meet and exceed guests’ needs. Bouroncle will focus on increasing revenue and the financial performance of the resort while also supervising a team of employees and maximizing guest satisfaction.

Sergio Pereira has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino

Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino is proud to announce the appointment of Sergio Pereira as the new director of beverage & food. In his new role, Pereira will be spearheading the resort’s effort in revamping restaurant menus at Papagayo Bar & Grill, Aquaris, BLUE, L.G Smith’s Steak & Chop House, The Lounge Midnight Grill, Solé and Capitan’s Corner, as well as adding new refined and modern dining options to highlight the resort’s elevated offerings.

Having held various culinary positions since starting his career in 2002, Chef Bouroncle has managed to refine his craft at a number of world-renowned hotels and restaurants. In his new role at Aruba Marriott, Chef Bouroncle will oversee all daily kitchen operations and menus ensuring the highest standard of culinary excellence throughout the property's seven bars and restaurants.

Tom Calame has been appointed as General Manager at Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

Calame’s work with the Marriott brand began in 1988 as an AIPT trainee at the Bethesda Marriott Hotel. After completing his training, he returned to his native Amsterdam where he held various positions at the Amsterdam Marriott. Quickly climbing the ranks, Calame set the pre-opening strategy for the JW Marriott Mexico City and in 1999, accepted the position of Director of Operations at the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort in St. Thomas. Subsequently, Calame was promoted to Resident Manager to open JW Marriott Cancun Resort. In 2002, Calame went on to become the Hotel Manager at the Casa Magna Marriott Cancun Resort before accepting his first General Manager position at the JW Marriott Lima in 2004, where he received the General Manager of the Year Award. Fluent in Dutch, English and Spanish, Tom Calame brings to the position years of international and multi-cultural experience. Calame holds a degree in Hotel Management from the College Heerlen in the Netherlands and an MBA from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Vincent Pellegrini has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Casino & Spa

Graduating from the Culinary School at SENAC in São Paulo, the Brazilian native began his career as an in-house chef at a large international company before switching his focus to hotels. Since then Chef Pellegrini has spent more than eight years in Latin American and six in the Caribbean opening the restaurants at properties like the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Hyatt Regency Trinidad, and most recently, the Hyatt Regency Curacao. Chef Pellegrini’s career highlights include planning and executing the menu at the Fifth Summit of the Americas held in Trinidad and Tobago in 2009, which was attended by 34 presidents and prime ministers. He was also responsible for the dinner at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) for the Queen of England and the other presidents, kings, prime ministers, and heads-of-state attending the event.

Geraldine Coutinho-Meyers has been appointed as Associate Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino

Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino announced the appointment of Geraldine Coutinho-Meyers as the new Associate Director of Sales of Aruba’s premier beachfront property. As the resort’s first employee, Coutinho returns to the Hyatt family with a familiarity and passion for the property. As the Associate Director of Sales, Coutinho will play an instrumental role in further enhancing Hyatt Regency Aruba as the resort undergoes exciting upgrades. Coutinho will work directly with the Director of Sales for the Hyatt Caribbean Resorts and the Sales Managers in the United States and Aruba.

Robert D. Guidice has been named General Manager at the Aruba Marriott Resort’s Stellaris Casino

Most recently spending time as Vice President of Table Games at Harrah’s Entertainment in Chester, PA, Guidice has been making his mark within the industry for almost 20 years. His experience includes his position as Assistant Casino Shift Manager at Motorcity Casino in Detroit and Tables Games Supervisor at the MGM Grand. Guidice was also a dealer with Sheraton Casino in Tunica, MS before being named Casino Manager with Carnival Cruise Lines.
