Yvan Didelot has been appointed as Executive Chef at Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro

Previously serving as the Executive Chef of Grand Hyatt Santiago, Yvan Didelot has been appointed Executive Chef at Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro to lead the team of chefs for all the food and beverage services and outlets. His role will include overseeing the execution across three signature restaurants, banquet culinary operations and in-room dining. France-native and world-renowned chef Didelot began his culinary career in 1987, at the Michelin-star restaurant Le Chapon Fin and continued developing his culinary skills at recognized European restaurants and signature hotels in France, Lebanon, Monaco and Switzerland. Didelot’s international career includes Mexico, Dubai, Mauritius and notably in Brazil at Hilton São Paulo Morumbi.

Christophe Lorvo has been appointed as Area Vice President and General Manager at Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro

Christophe Lorvo comes to Rio de Janeiro with a distinguished 23-year career with Hyatt. In his role, Lorvo will help facilitate the company’s strategic brand growth in the region, leading the development and operations of Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro as General Manager, as well as overseeing operations across South America, including hotels in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Lorvo has held positions at Hyatt Regency Guam and the former Hyatt Carlton Tower in London, and opened Hyatt Regency Paris Charles de Gaulle, as well as Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. Lorvo has served as General Manager at Hyatt Paris Madeleine, Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and most recently, Grand Hyatt Tokyo.

Silvio Araujo has been appointed as Area Director of Marketing and Sales Brazil at Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro and Grand Hyatt São Paulo

As Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Brazil, Silvio Araujo, formerly the Director of Sales and Marketing at São Paulo, has expanded his role to oversee Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro as well. He has been an ambassador for the Grand Hyatt brand since he joined Grand Hyatt São Paulo over 10 years ago. In this role, Araujo is responsible for sales strategy, marketing, public relations and managing the hotel’s luxury brand positioning with local, national and international markets. Araujo is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
