The first four hotels will be up and running by 2016. These will be new builds, not conversions, with most built as Red Roof PLUS+® properties, Red Roof's enhanced and upgraded offering. Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced it has completed the acquisition of the Delta Hotels and Resorts brand and management and franchise business from Delta Hotels Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (bcIMC). The transaction increases Marriott's distribution in Canada to more than 120 hotels and 27,000 rooms, making Marriott the largest full-service hotel company in Canada. With the closing of the Delta transaction, Marriott's development pipeline in Canada exceeds 45 properties and 7,300 rooms.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts today announced the reflagging and reopening of the former Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre® in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada as the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale. The hotel was recently acquired by a private Canadian real estate investment group with the sale brokered by the Toronto office of CBRE Limited, a global real estate advisory firm. The hotel will be managed by Hilton.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) today announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management contract with Claridge Homes for an Andaz hotel in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
