Christine Liu has been appointed as country manager for China at STR Global

Based in Beijing, Liu joins STR Global from TSA Solutions, where she spent the past two years as regional director of business development for the Greater China market. Liu has nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked both on the supplier side and for technology partners throughout Greater China. Including its London headquarters, STR Global maintains a presence in 11 locations around the world.

James Xi has been appointed as General Manager at Shangri-La Hotel Ningbo

A native of Shanghai, Mr. James Xi began his hospitality career at Shanghai Hilton in 1987. In early 1991, Mr. Xi immigrated to the United States to complete his MBA majoring in Hospitality Management at University of Houston. This commenced his journey with the hospitality industry overseas, where his experience spanned across the prestigious hotel brands, Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre, Embassy Suites Hotel, Double Tree by Hilton and Adams Mark Hotel. He held numerous leadership positions in these hotels including Executive Assistant Manager and Resident Manager. Mr. Xi joined Shangri-La Hotel International Management Company in 2002. His first assignment was Resident Manager at Shangri-La Hotel Dalian followed in the same role at Shangri-La Hotel Changchun. He was promoted to General Manager in 2004 and successfully opened Traders Hotel Kunshan by Shangri-La, Shangri-La Hotel Wenzhou and Shangri-La Hotel Changzhou respectively in 2005, 2009 and 2012 with great pre-opening and post-opening achievements. Under his leadership, Shangri-La Hotel Wenzhou was awarded Hotel of the Year for the entire Shangri-La group. Most recently he led the team of Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou and successfully turned-around the hotel performance, leading to outstanding achievements in market share ranking, gross operating profit and guest service excellence from 2013 to 2015.

Michel Molliet has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Greater China at AccorHotels

Michel Molliet has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels, Greater China, effective January 01, 2016. In his new role, he will oversee the management of the group’s 125 operating hotels and projects in the pipeline across mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, a portfolio which includes 10 brands from the luxury and upscale to midscale and economy segments.
