Jesper Vilsoe has been named General Manager at Swissôtel Kunshan

Jesper Vilsoe has been promoted to general manager of Swissôtel Kunshan. Previously the executive assistant manager of the property, he will now be responsible for the overall operations, performance and strategic direction of the hotel. Vilsoe embarked on his food & beverage career after graduation in 1995, where he has held progressive positions in locations such as Romania, Vietnam, London, Jakarta, Warsaw and Kuwait. His philosophy in life is to live like there is no tomorrow and to give 100 percent of himself every single day to guests, staff and owners.

Peter Gan has been appointed as General Manager - Operations and Hotel Openings at Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts

Mr. Peter Gan as General Manager - Operations and Hotel Openings of Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts, with effect from 25 August 2014. Mr. Gan possesses extensive hotel experience with over 30 years in the hospitality industry, most notably in operations and marketing management. Prior to joining Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts, Mr. Gan was opening General Manager of an internationally brand hotel in Shenyang. In the past 15 years, he has been General Manager for numerous luxury hotels throughout Greater China, Mauritius and Malaysia.

Maximilian Pleyer has been appointed as General Manager at Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai

An Austrian national with over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Maximilian has vast experience in Food and Beverage and hotel operations. After graduating with an Executive MBA from Reims Management School, Reims, France, Maximilian worked with several international hotel brands including Kempinski, Hilton, Westin, Mandarin Oriental and Conrad.

Vivien Wei has been appointed as Director of Human Resources, ic, Security & Operational Excellence at Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel

A member of the Starwood family since 2005, Ms. Wei will bring her extensive experience in the hospitality industry and her exceptional abilities for developing strong efficient teams to her role as Director of Human Resources, ic, Security & Operational Excellence. She will be in charge of hiring and overseeing a staff of 400 persons and ensuring that associates are trained to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests, also hotel Security and Operation Excellence works.

Cathy Li has been appointed as Director of Rooms at Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel

As a ten-year operational veteran of Starwood hotels, and specifically larger hotels that cater to business guests, Ms. Li is uniquely qualified to provide guests with the Sheraton five-star level of luxury service expected of the Sheraton brand. A native of China who speaks English, Cathy Li has extensive experience across several Starwood brands. Li launched her career in 1999 at the New World Courtyard Shenyang Hotel, a large 368-room business hotel. She joined the Starwood family in 2002 managing the front office at Sheraton Shenyang Lido Hotel, a 590-room hotel in the heart of Shenyang. In 2010, she was named Director of Rooms on the executive team responsible for opening the St. Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort, the largest St. Regis hotel in the world. In 2013, she was appointed to the opening team for the Le Meridien Yixing Hotel, a 270-room hotel that caters to business travelers.
