Peter Wynne has been appointed as area general manager – Beijing at Swire Hotels

Peter Wynne is announced as area general manager – Beijing. He is the former general manager – Projects and Development at Swire Hotels. Peter has over 20 years of experience in the industry since settling in Asia, primarily with unique operations including Aman Resorts and Taj Hotels. Prior to joining Swire Hotels, Wynne opened the Raffles Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games. His first assignment after graduating from Bournemouth University was at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, initially as resident manager and later as general manager.

Andre Erasmus has been appointed General Manager of Six Senses’ first property to be developed in China – Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain. Scheduled to open in early 2014, the stunning property is located at the picturesque gateway to the majestic Qing Cheng Mountains and has been created to complement the UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site nearby Dujiangyan.

Anthony Cheng has been appointed as General Manager at The Westin Guangzhou

Mr. Cheng’s hotel career started in Singapore in the early eighties and joined ITT Sheraton Corporation in 1994 as Regional Director of Sales. In 2004, Mr. Cheng arrived in China as Regional Director of Sales, China for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, later he elected to direct his career back to hotel operation and opened Le Meridien She Shan, Shanghai before moving on to Sheraton Sanya Resort. Prior to his current role, Mr. Cheng was the General Manager of Sheraton Dameisha Resort. Anthony likes soft adventure, sailing, working out in the gym and holiday in less travelled destinations in China.

Patrick Pahlke has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Grand Hyatt Guangzhou

Mr Patrick Pahlke has been appointed as the Hotel Manager of Grand Hyatt Guangzhou, effective on 1 March 2013. Patrick, a graduate of Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, started his career with Hyatt at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October 2002 as Sales Executive. Prior to this he has held numerous positions in Food and Beverage, Culinary, Rooms and Public Relations with Forte Hotels, Le Meridien, Mandarin Oriental and the Daniel Boulud Restaurant group in Cologne, Germany, Hong Kong and New York City. He was subsequently promoted to Sales Manager in 2004 and Associate Director of Sales in 2005. After 5 years of working at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Patrick transferred to Grand Hyatt Beijing in 2007 and where he held the position of Director of Sales. In 2009, Patrick transferred to Grand Hyatt Shanghai as Director of Sales & Marketing and shortly after he was promoted to Area Director of Sales & Marketing – East China.

Jui Kretzu has been appointed as General Manager at Grace Beijing

The award-winning Grace Hotels has announced the appointment of Jui Kretzu as General Manager of Grace Beijing. Jui joins Grace Hotels with an extensive background in the travel and hospitality industry. A Taiwanese national, Jui grew up in Brazil and has lived in the United States, Taiwan and China; she is fluent in Mandarin, English and Portuguese. Jui spent the early years of her career in the airline business before undertaking a series of roles with Ritz Carlton at their properties in Laguna Niguel, New Orleans and Key Biscayne in the United States, and Guangzhou and Shanghai in China.
