Simon Rusconi has been appointed as General Manager at Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, announces today the appointment of Simon Rusconi as General Manager. After an extensive and meticulous two year renovation, this emblematic address of Parisian hospitality will reopen its doors in May 2013, returning the hotel to its original grandeur in complete Art Deco splendour. An insatiable globetrotter, Simon Rusconi has travelled the world for more than twenty years. Born in Switzerland and educated at the Ecole Hôtelière in Lausanne, where he received his degree in 1990, Simon began his career across the Atlantic in 1996 by leading the department of Food & Beverage of e Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki. A¬fter over 20 years of working in Hawaii, Indonesia, Tahiti, San Francisco, and most recently, Atlanta, he returned to Europe with the desire to marry his international experience with the ways of Parisian luxury hospitality.

Pascal Leprou has been appointed as General Manager at Mövenpick Hotel Paris Neuilly

En effet, à compter du 19 Décembre 2012, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts reprendra les opérations de l’établissement actuellement exploité sous le nom de Courtyard by Marriott à Paris Neuilly (58 boulevard Victor Hugo). L’accord de gestion représente un jalon déterminant puisqu’il porte à 100 le nombre d’hôtels gérés par le groupe, établissements existants ou projets en cours de développement. Pascal Leprou, âgé de 49 ans, prend les rênes de l’établissement. Diplômé de l’Ecole hôtelière de Paris, il a exercé ses compétences auprès des groupes Hyatt Hotels & Resorts et Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Intuitif et homme de terrain, Pascal Leprou sera donc chargé de la direction du premier hôtel en France du groupe hôtelier suisse. Il souligne « La philosophie et les fondements de Mövenpick reposent sur une relation privilégiée avec ses clients au travers d’un service sans défaut ainsi qu’une grande attention au détail. Par ailleurs, ce n’est pas ce que nous allons faire qui sera important mais comment nous allons le faire ».

The General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne in Switzerland has received a highly respected honour in the 13th annual Worldwide Hospitality Awards which took place in Paris on November 12, 2012. The Worldwide Hospitality Awards 2012, organised by the MKG Group (www.hospitality-on.com) also recognised Kramer’s major contribution to sustainability in every aspect of the daily hotel operations, resulting in a Green Globe certification of 91 percent (from 100 achievable).

Philippe Labbé, Executive Chef at Shangri-La Hotel, Paris has been named "Cuisinier of the Year 2013" at Gault & Millau

Executive Chef Philippe Labbé is ending 2012 on a high note, for this week he was named “Cuisinier of the Year” by Gault & Millau. This honour follows the unanimously enthusiastic public acclaim for the three restaurants at Shangri-La Hotel, Paris: the gastronomic restaurant L’Abeille now has five toques, while Shang Palace, exclusively dedicated to Cantonese-influenced Chinese cooking, has three toques. Established over 40 years ago, the Gault & Millau brand was created by Henri Gault and Christian Millau, two journalists who were passionate about culinary creativity, vision and quality – in fact, they invented the concept of nouvelle cuisine, which dominated the 1980s and changed the way the world looked at gastronomy. Nicolas Béliard has been appointed as General Manager at The Peninsula Paris

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (00045) (HSH), parent company of The Peninsula Hotels, announces the appointment of Mr. Nicolas Béliard as the GM of The Peninsula Paris, starting January 2013. Mr. Beliard joined HSH in 2009 as Resident Manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong. Born in France and educated in the US with a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, a Master of Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Management and a Master of Management in Hospitality from the Cornell School of Management, Mr. Beliard began his hotel career in St. Tropez, France. He progressively reached senior positions with international luxury hotels such as Four Seasons hotels in New York, Paris, the West Indies and Geneva, as well as Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami. His most recent position was as GM of The Peninsula Bankok.
