Carson Booth has been named European COO at Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP)

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) announced that Carson Booth, CHTP will join the association as its Chief Operations Officer (COO) - Europe, starting November 1, 2022. Booth will take on the position held by Carl Weldon since 2016 upon his retirement at the end of October. Booth brings decades of international, hospitality industry experience in management and technology-centered positions.

Scandic adds 234-Key Property in Munich, Germany

Today, Scandic has opened the doors to its fifth hotel in Germany, Scandic München Macherei. The hotel, which has 234 rooms, is attractively located in Munich's lively "Die Macherei" quarter in the Berg am Laim district. With its modern tile and brick facade and Nordic inspired interior, the new hotel will offer global travelers unique hotel experiences.

Modern and design-oriented: IntercityHotel Herford officially opens

On 1 October 2022, General Manager Tim Henrik Göhring and his team welcomed the first guest, marking the official opening of newly built IntercityHotel Herford. The hotel has 135 guest rooms, a breakfast restaurant and bar, not to mention three meeting rooms boasting 90 square meters. Italian architect and designer Matteo Thun was in charge of the interior design. The hotel is operated by Scoop Hotels, a franchise partner of Deutsche Hospitality.

Roland Duerr has been appointed as Managing Director at Rosewood Munich

Karina Ansos has been appointed as Managing Director at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin

The new managing director at the world-famous Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin is called Karina Ansos and is the first woman ever to head the historic hotel at the Brandenburg Gate in the German capital as of mid-October. After three successful years, the previous director, Michael Sorgenfrey, is handing over the reins to his successor - he himself is taking a sabbatical. A return to one of the hotels of the worldwide Kempinski Hotels at a later date is not excluded.

MAXXimum Welcome to Aalen

On 18 August 2022, the MAXX Hotel Aalen team celebrated the official opening of its hotel together with Frederick Brütting, Lord Mayor of the city of Aalen.
