Kobrin has more than two decades of international experience with some of the world’s leading luxury hospitality brands and is known for his expertise in working with boutique properties. He has held management positions at prestigious international hotel groups including: Ritz Carlton, Raffles and Mandarin Oriental. Most recently he was General Manager of Soul Maldives. Tamir Kobrin began his career with the Three Kings Hotel in Basel, Switzerland. Subsequently, he worked at The Ritz Carlton, Central Park in New York. His stint in South East Asia started with the Raffles Grand Hotel D’ Angkor, Cambodia as a Resident Manager. Thereafter, in various operational capacities, Kobrin has led teams at The Mandarin Oriental and Aleenta Resorts. His operational experience, multi-property management, project refurbishment and hotel renovation across different hotel categories has been honed after 15 years in the industry. And his command of seven languages enhances his ability to effectively communicate with his team. Kobrin graduated from Les Roches with a diploma in Hotel Management and went on to attend Cornell University where he received a Hospitality Management certificate.

India Hospitality Corp. today announces it has entered into an agreement with Firstcorp Invesco Pvt Ltd ("Firstcorp") to acquire the "You" brand from Firstcorp for a cash consideration of $400,000. Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjewadi opened its doors this week, welcoming business and leisure travelers to Marriott International’s (NYSE:MAR) newest moderately-priced hotel in India. Hendrian was most recently General Manager at the Hyatt Regency Dubai where he successfully repositioned the newly refurbished hotel. Prior to that from 2002 to 2004, he was General Manager at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and Resident Manager of the Grand Hyatt Dubai. He served as Resident Manager of the Grand Hyatt Berlin from 2000 to 2002. Beginning his career with the Meliá Group, Hendrian sharpened his skills at properties in Spain and Iraq. He went on to establish himself as one of the hospitality industry’s rising stars. Moving to Hyatt Hotels, he enhanced his experience as a food and beverage manager and sommelier. Later he underwent special rooms division training in the U.S., eventually becoming Regional Specialist, Rooms for Central Europe during which time Hyatt received several awards. After close to three decades at some of the industry’s leading flagship properties, Hendrian has earned the title of the “People’s Manager” for his ability to connect and relate to his associates and staff.

In China from 1997 to 2004, he served with Intercontinental as General Manager at their signature Crowne Plaza properties in Jinan and Beijing and was also general manager at the Kempinski Beijing Lufthansa Center. He was General Manager at the Disneyland Paris and Euro Disney from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that, he was General Manager at the Yaounde Hilton in Cameroon and the Madagascar Hilton. He also worked for the prestigious London Hilton on Park Lane and the Paris Hilton. Most recently, from 2005 to 2008, he was General Manager and Head of Operations at the Serena Hotel in Kabul. Having been involved in hotel development, property refurbishments and upgrades and product enhancement, Newbery brings a tremendous knowledge as well as extensive practical expertise to The Leela.
IHG today announced a confirmed development pipeline of 31 hotels to be opened across major metros and secondary cities across India over the next few years. This will effectively add over 7,600 rooms. This growth momentum will be driven by IHG's three brands in India -- InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, and Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts.
