Touristlink.com Socializes Group Travel

Touristlink.com a social network for travelers announces new features to make booking group travel packages a more social experience. Touristlink members can see who is going on a trip, who has already bought it and who is the trip leader. Users of the site can ask questions directly to the trip leader and get to know the other people going on the trip before making a purchase decision. David Urmann, the founder of Touristlink, commented that "One of the primary reasons that people hesitate to book group travel is that they are not sure of whom they will be traveling with and they are hesitant to commit to spending a week or more traveling with people they barely know. The new social elements we are adding should help members choose the right trip and the right people to go with."

Govind Mundra has been appointed as Senior Manager International Development Indian Ocean at Wyndham Hotel Group, Asia Pacific

Govind Mundra (32), an Indian national, has more than 10 years of hospitality development, real estate and construction experience in South West Asia. He started his career in 2002 as Junior Engineer with a consultant in Assam-India. In 2003, He joined Ambuja Realty Development Limited - a premier real estate developer in East India and held several positions with them, last one in 2010 being Asst. General Manager – Design and Development. His last position was Senior Manager – Consulting at DTZ International Property Advisors in 2011 and was responsible for hospitality consulting efforts in North India. He holds a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Administration from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne - Switzerland, Diploma in Construction Project Management from NICMAR – India and Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Visveswaraiah Technological University - India. In his new role, Govind will be based in Delhi NCR and will report directly to Deepika Arora, Vice President – International Development, Indian Ocean of Wyndham Hotel Group.

Pranav Patel takes the helm at Alila’s latest opening, the 101 room Alila Bangalore, which opened in the Whitefield district of the city last year. With over a decade in the industry, Pranav’s career has been truly global, with experience across three continents at leading hotel groups including Taj, Leela and Four Seasons. Pranav joins Alila from Archipelago Hotels and Resorts in Kuala Lumpur where he held the position of Complex Director of F&B for The Saujana.
