Samit Ganguly has been appointed as General Manager at The Westin Jakarta

The Westin Jakarta appoints Samit Ganguly as General Manager of the 256-key iconic luxury hotel in Jakarta. Over the last two decades, Samit's exposure in the industry has seen him holding key management roles in various aspects of management and operations of hotels.This assignment marks his return to Marriott International after beginning his journey back in 2012 with The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place as Director of Sales & Marketing, and later as Hotel Manager, where he helmed seve ral pilot projects at the property and received prestigious awards & accolades. Prior to joining the team at The Westin Jakarta, Samit's most recent assignment was as General Manager of Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort.Samit's journey in the hospitality industry began in 2000 with The Oberoi Grand, Calcutta, soon after he concluded his post-graduate diploma in Business Management at the EIILM, Kolkata. His passion for Sales & Marketing motivated him to join Hyatt Hotels & Resort Kolkata before joining Hyatt Regency Dubai and Galleria in 2007 as Director of Convention Sales.In his leisure time, Samit is a photography and sports enthusiast, a fan of football and cricket, and enjoys playing tennis.
