Diego Concha has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

Playa Resorts Management, the operational management component of Playa Hotels & Resorts B.V., today announced the appointment of Diego Concha as General Manager for Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Both Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, which is exclusively for adults, and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, which is for guests of all ages, opened in December 2014. Both all-inclusive luxury resorts have recently been recognized with AAA's coveted Four Diamond Award.

Carl A. Hendriks has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall

Mr. Hendriks will officially assume his position as General Manager of Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall on September 1st. He brings more than 30 years of hospitality industry leadership. He joins Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall from Apple Leisure Group. Prior to that he enjoyed an extensive career as General Manager at numerous Sandals Resorts throughout the Caribbean. He began his hospitality career in Miami with Unique Vacations, Inc. A native of Mandeville, Jamaica, Mr. Hendriks started his education at DeCarteret College, Jamaica and then attended Miami Dade College and Cornell University. Mr. Hendriks is an advocate of the hospitality industry and furthering education in Jamaica. He has served as the School Board Chairman for Negril, as well as a Board Member for the Vocational Training School at Westmoreland. He is actively involved in the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce, the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA), and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourist Association (CHTA).

Intimate Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios has retained luxury hotel specialists MP&A Digital & Advertising, formerly Madigan Pratt & Associates. MP&A Digital & Advertising will lead the digital marketing and communications efforts in North America for Jamaica Inn. The efforts include an integrated marketing program using online and database marketing, advertising, social media consultation, reputation management and promotion to attract new customers, build loyalty and increase revenue.

Colan Vance has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Round Hill Hotel and Villas

Colan Vance is the new director of F&B at Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He was last doing development for Ark Restaurants in Washington D.C. and New York. Before that, Vance worked at The French Laundry (Yountville, CA) and The Inn at Little Washington (Washington, VA). Vance is joined by assistant F&B director Deborah Colledge, a Ritz-Carlton vet who was working most recently in Washington, D.C. The couple started at Round Hill October 15.

Jag Mehta has been appointed as General Manager at Breezes Runaway Bay

Mehta has been with SuperClubs since 1993. Prior to his joining the Super-Inclusive resort chain, he was senior vice president of The Myers Group in Nassau, Bahamas, and president, Normandie Hotels Corp., where he managed the re-opening of the Radisson Normandie Hotel. In 1985 and again in 1991, Mehta was assistant to the president at Williams Hospitality Management Corp. in San Juan, where he worked on the re-openings of the El San Juan Hotel and El Conquistador Resort. For 16 years prior, Mehta worked for Hilton International in a number of roles including general manager of Caribe Hilton International, San Juan, Condado Beach – La Concha Hotel and Convention Centre, and Jamaica Hilton, Ocho Rios. Mehta began his 51-year career in the hospitality industry as food and beverage manager and executive assistant manager at InterContinental Hotels in San Juan and Curaçao. He graduated Cornell University and received his MBA from Columbia University.
