Roel Constantino has been appointed as General Manager at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu

Hong Kong-based Wharf Hotels announced the appointment of Roel Constantino as the new general manager of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. Constantino will lead the operation of the deluxe urban resort hotel nestled on Nivel Hills, Cebu City sprawled on seven hectares of lush greenery overlooking the historic city 200 meters above sea level.A seasoned hotelier, Constantino started his hospitality career in the sales and marketing and rooms departments. Most recently, he served as general manager of Park Inn Davao and as resident manager of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila. His 30-year career includes postings in China, Thailand and Indonesia with luxury hotel operators Peninsula, Shangri-La and Raffles.

The first Swissôtel property debuts in the Philippines

The art of Swiss hospitality is arriving into the Philippines with the soft-opening of the first Swissôtel property in Pampanga. Situated in Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Swissôtel Clark is set to become a vibrant destination within the evolving city, a two-hour drive from Manila. As of March 1, 270 Premium and Swiss Advantage Rooms will be available for booking during the soft opening period, with the broader hotel complex launching in the last quarter of 2022.
