Carl Wee has been appointed as Vice President, Technical Services, APAC at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, APAC

Carl Wee joins the Wyndham team as Vice President, Technical Services, APAC, where he will lead the design, technical services, and construction management strategies for the division. Carl previously served as Wyndham's Senior Director, Design, Planning & Construction, Greater China from 2013 to 2018. He brings a wealth of experience having spent close to two decades managing hospitality and commercial projects globally. Prior to his current role, he was the Vice President, Project Management with CapitaLand Group, responsible for projects internationally.

Eng San Quek has been promoted to Vice President, Finance, APAC at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, APAC

Eng San Quek has been promoted to Vice President, Finance, APAC. In her new role, she will oversee the company's financial strategies and opportunities as the company forges ahead with accelerated growth in the region. Eng San has an extensive 20 years of experience in hospitality finance which encompasses finance, accounting, and FPA experience. She previously held leadership roles in IHG.

Matthew Brosenne has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources, APAC at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, APAC

Matthew Brosenne, Vice President of Human Resources, APAC, will take on an expanded portfolio to oversee all HR matters across the division. With growing regional interdependence, Matthew will drive a comprehensive HR approach utilizing the Company's best practices. Having worked in Asia for over 25 years, he possesses a wide breadth of business insights as well as human resources strategies.

Rex Loh has been promoted to Vice President of Commercial, APAC at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, APAC

Rex Loh, Vice President of Commercial, APAC will be leading the commercial team which includes sales, marketing, communications, loyalty, revenue management and distribution for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in APAC. Rex brings with him more than two decades of hospitality experience spanning leadership roles with hotel companies including Marriott, IHG, and Shangri-La, enabling him to drive the commercial strategies across the APAC division.

Oasia makes a splash into Sentosa Island

Slated for opening in the second quarter of 2021, Oasia Resort Sentosa will be the fourth property on Sentosa island managed by Far East Hospitality. The homegrown company has signed a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) with Far East Organization. Under the agreement, Far East Hospitality will be responsible for the hotel's operations, and sales and marketing functions. This property also marks Far East Hospitality's first foray into the resort and spa category.

Clarence Tan has been appointed as Principal Advisor of Asian Management Division at Valor Hospitality Partners

Valor Hospitality Partners, an award-winning hospitality management company, has named Clarence Tan as the principal and corporate advisor of Valor Asia, the organization's Singapore and Thailand-based division. Tan joins Valor Hospitality with over 25 years of experience in hotel management, global leadership and senior management. In his new role, Tan will leverage his hospitality management experience, as well as his market knowledge, to support the growth of Valor's Asian and Australasian portfolios. Previously, Tan served as managing director of Southeast Asia and Korea for Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG), building their portfolio of hotels with great success in the market.

Shadab Amin has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium

Shadab brings with him a wealth of hospitality experience having started his career in 2010. He joined InterContinental® Hotels Group in Manila and subsequently, moved to Crowne Plaza Muscat and Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, before settling down in Singapore. During his stint in Manila, Shadab played a pivotal role in laying the foundation of IHG's India Global Sales Team while at Muscat and Maldives, he held key sales positions that drove revenue targets.Shadab moved to Singapore in 2017 and joined Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium as a Senior Business Development Manager. During his 3-year tenure in Singapore, he has grown progressively to the position of Director of Sales where he was minted IHG's Best Director of Sales SEAK (South East Asia & Korea) in 2019.
