Nongluck Narkman has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit

Ms. Nongluck Narkman is a seasoned sales & marketing leader with over 20 years of experience in both sales & marketing and conventions & catering fields, working for various brands such as Shangri-La, Conrad, Sheraton and The Luxury Collection.Ms. Nongluck Narkman first became a 5-star hotel Director of Sales in 2006 at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, A Luxury Collection Hotel. Later, in 2008, she became Director of Sales & Marketing at Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa and posted to Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Vietnam in August 2012, giving her over seven years of direct experience in the demanding position. With her extensive experience with hotels under the same Starwood Hotels & Resorts umbrella as The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, along the way, she has picked up a string of Starwood awards. These include 2013 & 2009 Best RevPar Index Improvement, 2013 Best Hotel / SSO Collaboration with Starwood Sales Organization Beijing, 2011 Best Sales & Marketing Awards with Customer Contact Center Engagement Index and 2008 Starwood Preferred Planner, Regional Winner – Starwood Asia Pacific Sales & Marketing Divisional Awards.

Peter Feran has been appointed as General Manager at Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok

Australian native Peter Feran brings to the position extensive hospitality industry experience gained in his home country as well is in the U.K and Asia. Peter began his career in 1997 soon after receiving an advanced diploma in Business (Tourism) in South Australia. His path to general manager then proceeded with a number of Room Division positions at major international hotels, before Peter eventually joined Carlson Rezidor Hotels Group for the first time as Rooms Division Manager at Radisson Playford Adelaide. By 2010 he had risen to general manager at another Carlson Rezidor property, Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam. From that Southeast Asia location it was a short trip – but with nearly two decades of experience earned along the way – to Peter’s new appointment in Bangkok.

Ruud Hulscher has been appointed as General Manager – Operations at Outrigger Resorts Asia Pacific

In the Asia Pacific region, Outrigger Resorts has appointed Ruud Hulscher as General Manager – Operations. A former general manager for Outrigger on Phi Phi Island, Thailand, Hulscher will be based in the Outrigger Asia Pacific office in Phuket. He will report to William Visser, Vice President Operations, Asia Pacific. Hulscher will take charge of operating standards, work with hotels to improve guest satisfaction scores, ensure that best practice fire, life, health, safety and security are in place, and provide support to field operations as a floating GM as and when required. His new role started on 1 March.

Scott Bender has been promoted to Director of Owner Enhancement and Special Projects at Anantara Vacation Club

Scott Bender is now charged with overseeing the Owner Enhancement and Special Projects teams, where he’ll curate and organize owner events. Scott joined Anantara Vacation Club in March 2014 as a sales manager on the Owner Enhancement team, and was quickly promoted to Senior Sales Manager. Since that time, he has ensured that the division consistently achieves its monthly budgeted revenue targets, a testament to his guidance and leadership. Prior to joining Anantara Vacation Club, Scott worked in various sales positions for more than 10 years with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and other properties in the Northwest region of the U.S.

Manuel Garcia has been appointed as Vice President of Sales at Anantara Vacation Club

In his new role, Manuel Garcia oversees all sales operations for Anantara Vacation Club. Often referred to fondly as “Manny”, his rich career profile of nearly 15 years includes impressive achievements in sales, marketing, branding, leadership, new business and customer service. Most recently, Manny worked independently as an entrepreneur, supporting business leaders in realizing their vision and achieving goals through implementation of important strategies, programs and processes. Previously, Manny held key positions for nearly a decade at Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida, a Starwood property.

David Davis has been promoted to Vice President of Call Centers at Anantara Vacation Club

David Davis has taken the reins of call centre operations for the company, while simultaneously handling marketing efforts at Anantara Vacation Club Sanya in China. David joined the Anantara Vacation Club team nearly four years ago where he excelled as Area Director of Marketing. Prior to that, he worked for both Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Vacation Ownership divisions. A sales and marketing guru for 20 years, Davis has a fervent understanding of the vacation ownership industry, and has gained a wealth of experience in all facets of business from his past roles in diverse markets throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Gary Lewis has been promoted to Regional Director of Marketing for Voyager at Anantara Vacation Club

With his promotion, Gary Lewis handles all regional marketing initiatives for the Voyager program. At his most recent position with Anantara Vacation Club for nearly two years, Lewis strengthened Voyager to a multimillion dollar program that continues to grow every day. He successfully built a foundation for the future of the business and has excelled at implementing and managing what is, and will continue to be, a key channel to support the company. Prior to Anantara Vacation Club, Gary worked in the exit program in Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Vacation Ownership sector, and practiced law at Colling Gilbert Wright and Carter.

Valerie Marina Barrios has been appointed as Director of Loyalty and Communications at Accor

Accor, one of the leading hotel operator in Asia Pacific and Thailand, announced the appointment of Valerie Marina Barrios as the Director of Loyalty and Communications for Accor Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines. Valerie will be responsible for Accor’s loyalty programs and campaigns. She will also manage the corporate communications for the region.
