Harold Kluit has been appointed as General Manager at Swissôtel Amsterdam

Born in the Netherlands, Harold Kluit has already worked for four years in this hotel as the Director of Revenue & Marketing before taking over as General Manager at the Swissôtel Amsterdam. As a graduate of the Hotel Management School Wageningen, the Netherlands, he began his professional career in 1997 in marketing at the Rabobank in Utrecht. Among other responsibilities, he went on to become a Sales Executive at the Amsterdam Park Hotel and an Operations & Quality Consultant in the Pescini Hotel in Siena, Italy. The 109-room Swissôtel Amsterdam is located at the heart of the historic city centre of Amsterdam. With its 10th century façade, the hotel overlooks Dam Square and is close to many of the sights. It is just a 20-minute drive from Schiphol airport and the main railway station is only a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel. With its luxurious ambiance and lovely, tranquil atmosphere, the hotel is suitable for both business travellers and tourists alike.

Tom J. Krooswijk has been named General Manager at Hotel de l'Europe

A veteran of the hotel industry, Tom previously made his mark at InterCotinental Hotels & Resorts. His career saw him working in the Middle East, where he held the position of Senior Vice President overseeing 17 hotels in the area, after which he was appointed VP for Eastern Europe and subsequently GM of the 'Grand Inter-Continental Paris' and VP for France and Switzerland. Before accepting this new position he was involved at opening, renovating and repositioning of InterContinental trophy hotels in key destinations: Riyadh, Dubai, the Metropol Hotel in Moscow, Vienna, Paris, and the Carlton in Cannes, just to name a few. Most recently Tom was involved as COO & VP of development/planning for Refad Hotel & Resorts and subsequently for Versailles Properties Holding for various 5-star hotel openings in the Middle East. Tom is a graduate of the Lausanne Hotel Management School.

Caro van Eekelen has been appointed as Managing Director at Accor Hospitality Netherlands

Caro van Eekelen was serving Adagio as COO since 2007. Adagio is a joint venture of Accor and Pierre et Vacances. Past employment includes management positions at Golden Tulip Hotels and Disneyland Resort Paris. Caro van Eekelen is an alum of the The Hague Hotelschool. Current Managing Director Netherlands, Peter Verhoeven has been appointed as next Managing Director for Accor operations in Germany (300+ hotels).
