Lotfi Masbahi has been appointed General Manager of Anantara Tozeur Resort, Tunisia, to lead the team during the pre-opening and opening of the resort, which is scheduled for September this year.An experienced hotelier, Lotfi brings with him a wealth of hospitality leadership in both resorts and luxury hotels spanning three decades in his native Tunisia as well as time in Qatar, Spain and Germany. This includes a decade with Mélia Hotels International, where he attained his first Managing Director (General Manager) role and several years heading up two Vincci Hotels propertiesLotfi started his career in the industry working in both Food and Beverage and Human Resources. He has demonstrated his skill in managing the pre-opening of hotels, notably in the role of Opening General Manager with La Cigale Tunis Hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and named Africa's Leading New Hotel in the 2015 World Travel Awards. Lotfi, who speaks Arabic, French and English, joins Anantara from his previous position with Radisson Hotel Group as General Manager of Radisson Blu Sousse.

Deutsche Hospitality is continuing to pursue its robust drive for international growth by signing a further agreement for Tunisia. From November 2017, guests will be able to sample the delights of the fabulous beach location occupied by the Steigenberger Hotel Palace Marhaba on the Gulf of Hammamet. Having only entered the Tunisian market for the first time in April by opening two hotels (Steigenberger and Jaz) in Sousse further to the South, Deutsche Hospitality is now expanding its presence in the country to three hotels in the same year.

Deutsche Hospitality is now able to offer two hotels in Tunisia for the first time. Since the end of April, guests travelling to the holiday destination of Sousse have had the option of staying at the Steigenberger Hotel Kantaoui Bay or at the Jaz Hotel Tour Khalef. Both hotels have opened following the successful completion of extensive modernisation works and will be operated by the locally based Tunisia Hospitality Group – SARL within the scope of a management agreement concluded with the owner Zohra Driss.
