Chris Roe has been appointed as Vice President Sales, Distribution & Loyalty UK & Ireland at Accor

Roe has an accomplished career in sales and e-commerce roles for a variety of high profile brands, including Virgin Holidays, Expedia, BskyB and Opodo. He brings a wealth of valuable sales and distribution experience to the position, which sees him take responsibility for strengthening the business’s leisure, business and MICE sales. In addition, Roe will lead Accor’s loyalty programme, Le Club Accor Hotels, which now has 14 million members worldwide and offers a range of benefits for regular customers of all Accor hotel brands. Roe will be a member of both the UK & Ireland HotelServices Executive Committee and the UK & Ireland Executive Committee.

James Dugan has been appointed as Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire

Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire announces the appointment of James Dugan as its new Executive Chef heading up the kitchen brigade, following the earlier transfer of Cyrille Pannier to sister hotel Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. James is re-joining the Four Seasons family having spent his early career as Demi Chef de Partie at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. The timing could not be more appropriate as this Valentine’s Day, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. Dugan joins most recently from Stoke Place Hotel in Buckinghamshire. Prior to this he was executive sous chef at one of the most awaited re-openings in London, Hotel Café Royal. The previous six years were spent as executive head chef at Amberley Castle, West Sussex, where he gained 3 AA Rosettes within the first six months. Among his other accolades, James secured Michelin Stars at 36 on the Quay, Emsworth and Lindsay House, Soho where he worked alongside renowned chef Richard Corrigan. He has also worked with John Burton Race at the Landmark and Matthew Harris at Bibendum in London. A native of Hampshire, this has helped inspire James’s love of British cooking and this passion for provenance will only flourish among the 500 acre (200 hectare) estate at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, which boasts its own Chef’s Patch, orchard, chickens and honey bees.

Andrew Fox has been appointed as General Manager at Crowne Plaza Newcastle – Stephenson Quarter

Andrew joins what is set to become Newcastle's most luxurious and contemporary hotel when it opens in Stephenson Quarter in July this year. His immediate task is recruiting his senior management team while also working closely with the property developer Clouston Group, overseeing the final phase of construction along with the fit-out. The hotel will be under a management contract with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®). Once complete, the seven-storey, 251-bed Crowne Plaza Newcastle – Stephenson Quarter will add a major new business conferencing and banqueting facility to the city. For Andrew, 48, the appointment represents an exciting challenge and a welcome return to the North East. Married with four children, he was brought up in Ponteland, Northumberland before leaving the area to study in Manchester and begin a career in hospitality. Now living in Morpeth, Andrew has around 25 years’ experience in the hospitality and leisure industry having most recently been regional general manager for Q-Hotels, overseeing a collection of hotels in the Midlands. Prior to that he worked at Crowne Plaza Nottingham and worked within management in Marriott Hotels for eight years.
