Galaxy Hotels Group today announced the opening of the company's newly built Courtyard by Marriott Reno Sparks in northern Nevada. Offering 127 rooms/suites, the four-story Courtyard by Marriott Reno Sparks is conveniently located near the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRI Center), home to some of the world's most recognized tech companies. Frisco, Texas-based Galaxy Hotels Group, also known as Galaxy Management, is an approved Marriott International franchisee, hotel developer, and management company. Galaxy operates hotels across nine U.S. states, representing well-known brands.

James Overbaugh, a seasoned executive with over 16 years of dedicated service to The Peninsula brand, returns to California, where his journey with the brand first began in 2008. Overbaugh brings extensive global hospitality expertise and a personal passion for the culinary realm to Carmel Valley's cherished destination. After serving as an Executive Chef at an esteemed collection of hotels for the first 13 years of his career, Overbaugh joined The Peninsula team in 2008 as the Executive Chef of The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Over the next nine years, he ascended to the role of Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage Operations.

Cendyn Reports Phoenix Leads in Top 25 Markets for the First Time in 2024

Today, Cendyn announced that Phoenix ranked first in the top 25 markets with year-over-year (YoY) growth at 19.7 percent. Las Vegas followed closely with growth at 17.7 percent, placing it in the top five markets for the tenth consecutive month. South Michigan and the Florida Panhandle led in secondary markets, while Kauai, Hawaii, experienced significant YoY growth at 72 percent.
