The Meritage Resort and Spa Unveils $25 Million Reimagination

The Meritage Resort and Spa proudly unveils its $25 million renovation, presenting 322 transformed guest rooms alongside its existing luxurious 145 guest rooms and suites, now boasting a total of 467 modern, spacious guest accommodations. This extensive renovation also encompasses a new lobby and expanded bar area, refreshed ballrooms, pre-function and meeting rooms, an updated chic bowling lounge, a reimagined café and grab-and-go outlet, and added a premier steakhouse and a Champagne lounge. In the adjacent vineyard, a new chef's vegetable and herb garden, a dining terrace for al fresco dining in the vines, and a brand-new coop for the resident chickens have also been added.

Warren Street Hotel is a colourful marvel in downtown Tribeca

Among the cobblestone streets and red brick accents found in downtown Tribeca, Firmdale Hotels’ third New York property, the Warren Street Hotel, sticks out with its striking blue exterior and bright yellow top developed by architecture firm, Stonehill Taylor. The property, which is the sister hotel to Crosby Street in SoHo and The Whitby in Midtown, comes from the hands of British designer and Firmdale founder, Kit Kemp, and her daughters, Minnie and Willow.

U.S. hotel commentary - February 2024

RevPAR improved 2.0% year over year (YoY) in February, reflecting the continued return to pre-COVID patterns of low single-digit gains. Remove Las Vegas from the equation, however, and February RevPAR was down 1.4% YoY. The overall RevPAR increase was due to a solid YoY increase (+3.9%) in ADR, which was partially offset by an occupancy decline of 1.1 percentage points to 58.9%.
