Becky Hayes has been appointed as General Manager and Director of Sales at Residence Inn Tampa Wesley Chapel

Making her return to the Mainsail family, Becky Hayes is now General Manager and Director of Sales for the Residence Inn Tampa Wesley Chapel. Hayes originally joined Mainsail in 2012, first working in conference services at the original Mainsail Suites & Conference Center in Tampa and later as Senior Sales Manager at Epicurean Hotel. In addition to her Mainsail experience, Hayes' career includes time with Warwick hotels in New York City, convention centers in Kentucky, and most recently, a cluster of select service and extended stay hotels in Tampa. In her new role, Hayes is responsible for managing all aspects of hotel operation, including guest services, human resources, financial performance, sales efforts and revenue generation.

Dana Johnson has been promoted to General Manager at Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel

Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in hotel group sales and has spent the majority of her career at Marcus Hotels & Resorts. She most recently served as executive director of sales for Marcus Hotels & Resorts' Milwaukee market since 2021. In this role, she managed the sales teams for the company's three Milwaukee properties - Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel, The Pfister Hotel, and Hilton Milwaukee City Center - while developing new members of the sales teams and maintaining strong relationships with several key corporate accounts. Prior to this, Johnson held various sales management roles with the company and its portfolio. In her new role as general manager of Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel, Johnson will manage the 219-room property in the heart of the city's entertainment and theater district. She will lead the team as they invite guests to experience the arts in new ways, like through the hotel's multiple gallery and exhibition spaces, numerous culinary destinations, as well as nightly live music and performances.

John Schilling has been appointed as Regional Managing Director at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown

Schilling recently oversaw DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown as its general manager. He led three major renovation projects at the site during his time there. In addition to growing room income at the property, he increased food and beverage revenue by more than $6 million by altering the group mix of business and pushing outlet revenues. Cooking, traveling, watching Food Network, and being active with Ruth, his English Cream Golden Retriever, are all things John likes to do in his spare time.

Anna Stone has been appointed as Director of Marketing and Development at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando

Stone has led the sales and marketing efforts of multiple brands in focused- and full-service properties across the country. Most recently, she was with Spire Hospitality as the director of sales and marketing at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown. She is originally from Vicksburg, MS, and is grateful to have lived and worked in New York; Chicago; Charleston, SC; and Fort Myers, FL. She resides in Nashville with her husband, daughter, and two terriers.

Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort Opens Following Rebranding

Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, a new boutique hotel with a vibrant atmosphere and art deco flair, opens in Fort Lauderdale Beach. Formerly Kimpton Goodland, the newly-branded Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach will offer guests an elevated experience and updated programming taking cues from the original Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort. The resort will allow guests to experience the local lifestyle, sprawling beaches and varied entertainment options with on-property activities in music, fitness, mixology, wellness and more. The three-story resort has 96 thoughtfully-designed guest rooms, including two junior suites, each dispersed among airy hideaways and scenic courtyards filled with lush tropical flora.

OTO Development to Rebrand and Renovate Best Western in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

OTO Development has announced plans to rebrand the former Best Western in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Upon completion of an extensive renovation project — currently underway — the property will reopen in May 2023 as Beal House Destin-Fort Walton Beachfront, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
