As a boy in France he worked in his family restaurant, learning the joys and challenges of the business. His great grandmother was a Flemish chef from Belgium who established Les Buffet de la Gare, an upscale brasserie in a train station in the north of France. Cousin has prepared meals at some of the most distinguished places in the world. His extensive resume includes serving as executive chef at The Plaza Hotel, The Essex House/St. Regis Club Hotel in New York, The Beau Rivage Casino & Resort in Mississippi, Beaux Rivage Casino, Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos Island and Qatar Foundation in Doha.Cousin studied at the École Hôtelière de Montpellier in France. Cousin also holds a degree in hotel and restaurant management that he earned in the United States.

Gabor L. Vida has been appointed managing director of Rosewood Washington, D.C., the luxurious urban retreat located in the heart of Georgetown. In this role, which he assumed in late 2018, Vida oversees and leads all aspects of Rosewood Washington, D.C. and its distinct dining and recreational venues. Ideally situated alongside the C&O Canal, the landmark property will reopen this Spring following a partial renovation and redesign that includes the addition of new public spaces and a new restaurant, CUT by Wolfgang Puck. The renovation will also introduce six neighboring townhouses to the property's room inventory later this year.

Gardening and beekeeping are important tools that Court uses to discover new flavours and develop aspiring chefs. Court"s passion for food coupled with his charming personality and appetite to build connections will suit him well with the city"s movers and shakers and Washingtonians alike who have made Four Seasons in Georgetown an extension of their home and office. He also looks forward to the opportunity to customise dining experiences and create memorable moments for generations to come for the Hotel"s social and corporate events. Court is a graduate of University College Birmingham, England with a master"s certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University. His hotel career began in 1982 at Excelsior Hotel Birmingham. He continued his culinary career gaining considerable gastronomic and management experience in top hotels in England, Portugal, Bermuda, Antigua and Canada such as The Fairmont San Francisco, The Fairmont Royal York Hotel Toronto and, most recently, at Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills (A Four Seasons Hotel) where he served as Executive Sous Chef cooking for Hollywood"s elite. A museum lover, Court now calls the District of Columbia home and looks forward to discovering the rich history and culture Washington, DC has to offer. In his first year, he hopes to visit the 100 plus museums and historic homes in metropolitan DC.
