Derek Douglass Drew has been appointed as Area Hotel Manager at Caption by Hyatt and Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis

Derek Douglass Drew has been named as the area hotel manager for the soon to debut Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis and the neighboring Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, bringing more than 22 years of progressive hospitality experience to the position. The appointment comes as Hyatt prepares to debut its new Caption by Hyatt brand with this opening on June 22nd.

Nicholas Janysek has been appointed as Director of Sales, Marketing & Events at Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis

Janysek began his hospitality career in 2007 as an event coordinator at Doubletree Guest Suites Austin, followed by various roles with John Q. Hammons Hotels and Marriott Area Sales, throughout the state of Texas. He later grew his skillset with managerial positions at Hyatt hotels in both Ohio and Maryland, and most recently was director of sales, marketing and events at Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade. While there, he exceeded the property's annual revenue by closing out 2018 with the highest banquet F&B revenue to date and achieved $300K above budget for the group segment in 2019. In his new role, in addition to leading Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis' sales and marketing efforts, Janysek will also steer Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis in developing strategies for revenue growth and working with marketing and public relations to ensure consistent media messaging and social communication strategy. He will manage a team of sales associates to create one-of-a-kind individual and group experiences that reflect the culture of the city and maximize revenue potential for the hotel.

Sarah Titus has been appointed as General Manager at Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis

Titus has more than 15 years of unparalleled industry knowledge and experience, having held various front-of-house, back-of-house and managerial positions. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, Titus began her hospitality career at the Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando where she worked her way up the ranks from a front desk agent to assistant guest services manager. Longing to be back in the Windy City, Sarah took her talents to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, where she later expanded her portfolio by working with brands including Marriott, Hilton and Preferred Hotel Group before joining the Hyatt family. Just prior to her role in Memphis, she was the hotel manager of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, where she played an integral role in leading the hotel to maintain a 90% Overall Guest Satisfaction score for four consecutive years. In her newly expanded role, Titus is managing the opening logistics for Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis, and ultimately will bring a focus on guest satisfaction, handle daily operations, staff development, budgeting and financial planning, and increasing sales and revenue for both properties.

Shane Batchelor has been appointed as Director of Operations at Dream Nashville

HRI Hospitality Announces the Development of the Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown

HRI Hospitality ("HRI"), a fully integrated real estate firm with more than $3.0 billion in total national development experience and in-house ownership, development, and management expertise, announces today that it has closed on construction financing for the ground-up development of a new Tempo by Hilton hotel in downtown Nashville, TN. The hotel is scheduled to break ground in March 2022 and open in spring 2024. HRI has entered into an agreement with Hilton to build a 16-story, 306-room focus-service lifestyle hotel adjacent to Nashville Yards in the heart of downtown Nashville. This will be HRI's second hotel development in Nashville following its successful 2018 redevelopment of the James Robertson Building into the Holston House hotel. The Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown will be perfectly positioned to capitalize on its location next to Nashville Yards and Amazon's Operations Center, as well as its proximity to the leisure, business, and group demand drivers in the Nashville market.

Oscar Fonseca has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel

The talented, Oscar Fonseca joins The Joseph Nashville as executive chef overseeing the culinary team across all of the hotel's distinct dining outlets, including Yolan, fine Italian restaurant; Denim, a rooftop bar; and soon-to-open Four Walls, an intimate cocktail lounge. Working closely with the hotel's food and beverage partner, Chef Tony Mantuano, Fonseca is responsible for menu creation, prioritizing ingredients from local Nashville area purveyors to thoughtfully incorporate Tennessee produce into dishes. Don Brookshire has been appointed as Director of Food & Beverage at The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel

As director of food and beverage, Don Brookshire oversees the daily functions of The Joseph Nashville's unique dining venues, as well as the in-room dining program and banquet offerings, also working closely with hotel food and beverage partners, Chef Tony Mantuano and wine expert Cathy Mantuano. Throughout his 20-year career, Brookshire has led hotel operations and food and beverage teams at several prestigious hotel brands, including Waldorf Astoria and Omni Hotels & Resorts, as well as iconic and boutique properties across the country such as The Plaza in New York, NY and Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod, MA.

Ricardo Lutchman has been appointed as Director of Rooms at The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Ricardo Lutchman brings more than one decade of experience in operations management to his new role as director of rooms at The Joseph Nashville. Lutchman oversees day-to-day operations and activities of rooms departments, including housekeeping services, front office, concierge, and guest services, as well as manages the hotel's full-service luxury spa and salon, Rose. Lutchman comes to Nashville having recently served as director of operations for Hotel Emeline in Charleston, SC. In his career, Lutchman has worked in various operations and guest services roles throughout Texas.
