Among his many achievements during his time with Starwood, Abbott has proven extremely effective and successful in increasing property revenues by millions of dollars to reach peak results, all while maintaining and increasing overall guest satisfaction. Abbott's professional history has spanned worldwide, holding high-profile positions such as Vice President of Operations for Sheraton Macao and St. Regis Macao, General Manager & Area Managing Director for St. Regis Hotel in Shanghai, and General Manager of Westin Resort Guam, Westin Kuming, China, and Westin Chosun Beach, Korea. Further exemplifying his exceptional work as an innovative and adaptive industry leader, Abbott was selected as one of the Top Ten Figures in China's Hospitality Industry Awards in 2003 and named one of the Influential Community Leaders in the Pudong New Development Area in 2007.
