Bobby Barnes

Salamander Collection has promoted Bobby Barnes to Managing Director at Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Bay, Florida - one of the country's most renowned golf destinations.

With more than three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Barnes will manage all aspects of the resort in his new role - from multiple food and beverage outlets and accommodations to housekeeping and guest services. He has spent more than 15 years at Innisbrook, including as director of golf, during which he led daily golf course operations that can exceed 120,000 rounds annually. Most recently, he served as resort manager and assumed responsibilities of interim managing director in 2024.

Prior to joining the property in 2009, he served as golf operations manager at Walt Disney World's Disney Golf and head club professional at MetroWest Golf Club in Orlando. He also previously served as general manager of Esplanade Golf and Country Club.

Owned by Sheila Johnson and part of Salamander Collection's portfolio, Innisbrook is one of the most iconic resorts in the United States. It hosts the annual PGA TOUR Valspar Championship on its storied Copperhead Course each spring and is located on over 800 wooded acres of rolling hills in the Tampa Bay area. The resort features 63 holes of championship golf, 300 guest suites and rooms, five restaurants and three bars, 10 tennis courts, seven pickleball courts, a Salamander Spa with 12 treatment rooms, six heated swimming pool complexes and two conference centers, including the recently renovated Stirling Hall.
