Christopher Eastmond has been appointed as General Manager at Hodges Bay Resort & Spa

Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, part of the HQ Collection by sbe, welcomes Christopher Eastmond as general manager of the luxury beachfront resort, bringing more than three decades of global hospitality experience and a distinguished career leading premier resorts across the Caribbean.

As general manager, Christopher will oversee all aspects of operations at Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, focusing on elevating the guest experience, strengthening team culture, and guiding the resort’s continued evolution as one of Antigua’s leading luxury destinations.  

A respected hospitality leader known for his hands-on approach and deep expertise in Caribbean luxury, with more than 20 years of experience leading and repositioning resorts throughout the region, including leadership roles at Belle Mont Farm at Kittitian Hill in St. Kitts & Nevis, Canouan Estate Resort & Villas and Bequia Beach Hotel in St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Curtain Bluff in Antigua, and most recently at O2 Beach Club & Spa in Barbados, and has built a reputation for creating service-driven cultures rooted in authenticity, warmth, and anticipatory hospitality. 

Beginning his career in the United Kingdom, after graduating from Bournemouth University, he was recruited as a Corporate Management trainee for Hilton UK, where he gained experience across five properties in various positions, building an understanding of every position within the hotel, and allowing him to become adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of luxury hospitality. He later spent his final five years working at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London before bringing his skills and experience in British Hospitality to the Caribbean. 

His understanding of how to cultivate strong team dynamics, uphold exceptional operational standards, and foster staff camaraderie to deliver elevated guest experiences — shaped by more than two decades in luxury British hospitality has made him a well-rounded and thoughtful leader, continually inspired by the Caribbean’s rich diversity and the genuine warmth of the people who call each island home.  

Now overseeing operations at Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, he’ll help lead the renovations currently underway across the property, including upgraded rooms and suites, enhanced amenities, elevated programming, and updates to the resort’s dining outlets. He will also oversee the upcoming grand debut of Katsuya Beach, the Caribbean’s first outpost of the globally celebrated Katsuya brand from Master Chef Katsuya Uechi.
