Noelle Gonzalez has been appointed as Director of Marketing at InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile by IHG
The InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile is pleased to announce the appointment of Noelle Gonzalez as its new Director of Marketing. An expert digital strategist with more than 10 years of experience directing multi-million-dollar marketing operations across Major League Baseball franchises and hospitality brands, Gonzalez steps into the role during a pivotal period of growth for the historic property. Her appointment reflects a strategic blend of large-scale audience engagement expertise and luxury hospitality marketing as she oversees the hotel’s full-funnel marketing initiatives, performance advertising, brand positioning and cultural partnerships.
Gonzalez joins the hotel from the Houston Astros, where she served as Director of Advertising and Digital Marketing, managing a $1.85 million paid media budget and optimizing channel performance to drive audience acquisition and engagement. Her background also includes performance marketing roles with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Stars, in addition to hospitality experience as Marketing Manager at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach, where she led digital initiatives focused on increasing direct bookings and improving online conversion performance.
Her fan-first approach aligns closely with InterContinental Chicago’s longstanding commitment to delivering elevated, guest-centric experiences as one of the city’s most iconic hospitality destinations.
In her new role, Gonzalez will modernize the hotel’s paid digital and social media strategy with a performance-driven approach to marketing and experiential programming. She plans to leverage major citywide moments, from stadium concert tours to international sporting events, to drive local engagement and create immersive experiences throughout the property. Her strategy includes collaborations with global lifestyle brands, introducing localized pop-ups, custom merchandise integrations and curated programming across the hotel’s dining venues. Central to this vision is elevating the property’s food-and-beverage offerings, positioning Casa Chi and Michael Jordan's Steak House as defining pillars of the hotel’s identity on the Magnificent Mile, each enhanced through dynamic programming that deepens guest engagement.
Gonzalez credits her leadership philosophy to mentorship from key industry leaders, including Astros Vice President Jason Wooden, whose emphasis on empathy, patience, and individual team development helped shape her collaborative management style. She plans to bring that same people-first mindset to the InterContinental Chicago team as the hotel enters its next chapter of growth and continued excellence.
Originally from Key West, Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Florida Gulf Coast University. An avid reader, gamer, and film enthusiast, she recently relocated to downtown Chicago with her French bulldog, Atlas, and looks forward to immersing herself in the city’s culture and community.
