Hotel MOTTO, a boutique art & design hotel in the heart of Vienna, has announced the appointment of Daniela Kohoutek as its new General Manager, who brings 25 years of international hospitality leadership experience to the role.
At Hotel MOTTO, Kohoutek will be responsible for leading the boutique lifestyle hotel's operations, guest journey, commercial performance, and team development, while continuing to strengthen its position as one of Vienna's most distinctive luxury hospitality destinations. Alongside its acclaimed guestrooms and suites, the hotel — which was awarded a Michelin key in 2025 — is home to the popular CHEZ BERNARD restaurant and rooftop bar, organic bakery MOTTO BROT, wellness facilities, and a carefully curated collection of contemporary art that reflects the property's distinctive creative identity.
Kohoutek joins Hotel MOTTO following eight years as Business Director at COOEE alpin Hotels, a collection of modern, active-lifestyle Alpine hotels, and is recognised throughout the industry for her expertise in hotel leadership, quality assurance, revenue optimisation, and organisational development. During her tenure at COOEE, she played a pivotal role in building the company's operational infrastructure, overseeing the implementation of property management systems, brand development, marketing, distribution strategies, and revenue management. She led organisational development across both the head office and hotel portfolio, contributing to significant revenue growth and strengthening the group's commercial performance.
Building on an accomplished career leading hotels, driving commercial success and developing high-performing teams, earlier in her career Kohoutek served as Hotel Director for both Hotel Kummer and Hotel Alpha in Vienna, where she successfully repositioned the properties, led extensive refurbishments, and delivered sustained improvements in ADR, RevPAR, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Throughout her career, Kohoutek has combined operational excellence with commercial expertise. She has also held a senior position with Best Western Central Europe, leading member services and quality assurance across multiple Central European markets. Additional international experience includes revenue management roles with Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Hotel & Towers, Hotel Imperial Vienna, Hotel Bristol Vienna, and JA Jebel Ali Hotel & Golf Resort in Dubai.
