Jake Rodriguez has been appointed as General Manager at The Scottsdale Resort and Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton
The Scottsdale Resort & Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton, today announced the appointment of Jake Rodriguez as General Manager, bringing a seasoned hospitality leader and Phoenix native to the helm of The Scottsdale Resort. Rodriguez joins the resort following nearly five years with leading hotel management company Driftwood Hospitality Management, where he has held leadership roles spanning sales and operations.
In his role, Rodriguez oversees the resort's day-to-day operations, guest experience and team across its 318 guest rooms and suites and 90,000 square feet of meeting and event space, while helping shape the next chapter of the resort as it celebrates five decades in Scottsdale.
Set within the McCormick Ranch community, The Scottsdale Resort offers a full-service resort experience centered around leisure, meetings and celebrations, with multiple dining outlets, Luna Spa, pickleball, a golf simulator and access to the nearby McCormick Ranch Golf Club. As the resort enters its 50th anniversary year, Rodriguez will continue to build on its longstanding connection to the Scottsdale community while further evolving the guest experience across leisure, groups, dining, wellness and golf.
Bringing a well-rounded perspective to his role, Rodriguez has built his career across both hotel operations and sales and marketing. Prior to joining The Scottsdale Resort & Spa, he spent two years as General Manager of Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown after serving as Area Director of Sales for Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown and DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Tempe. During his career, he has successfully opened two hotels and managed two additional hotel conversions in General Manager and Operations Director roles.
His leadership and sales expertise have earned Rodriguez recognition throughout his career, including Director of Sales of the Year with Remington Hotels and Sales Leader of the Year with Driftwood Hospitality Management.
A Phoenix native, Rodriguez brings a personal connection to the market as he takes on his new role in Scottsdale. His leadership philosophy is rooted in developing people and creating a strong team culture. Outside of the resort, Rodriguez spends much of his time with his wife and two sons. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he also enjoys golf and spending time outdoors.
