Petra Solle has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi

Petra Solle, multi-property director of human resources, has previously worked as a human resources professional across a variety of Marriott hotels in the UK. Solle brings a strong knowledge of Marriott operations and human resources to her new role, having been a part of the pre-opening team of Courtyard by Marriott, World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi as director of human resources, successfully opening the hotel in December 2014.

Shaun Dean has been appointed as Director of Revenue Strategy at Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi

Shaun Dean, multi-property director of revenue, is a hugely experienced revenue leader, responsible for developing and implementing effective commercial sales strategies across the UK region. Dean began his career in hospitality as a graduate trainee in Paris, France in 1992 and went on to become Marriott’s first UK director of group strategy and business evaluation in 2008. As a multi-property director of revenue, Dean will be overseeing 574 keys divided amongst the Courtyard by Marriott, World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi and the Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi.

Nicholas A. Rana has been appointed as Dual-property Director of Sales & Marketing at Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi,

Nicholas A. Rana, director of sales and marketing, started his career in the sales discipline at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel in 2003. Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi will be Rana’s fifth hotel opening with Marriott across five different countries and three distinct Marriott brands. he will be responsible for sales and marketing for both properties and in seeing through the launch of the first Marriott Hotel in the capital.

Andrew Dickson has been appointed as Director of Operations at Marriott & Marriott Executive Apartments Abu Dhabi Downtown

Dickson has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Dickson joined Marriott in 2008 as director of operations at Wailea Beach Resort & Spa in Maui, Hawaii. Previously he worked as resident manager in 2009 at JW Marriott in Phuket, followed by director of operations at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square. He was appointed GM in 2013 at Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club in the UK.

David Lance has been appointed as General Manager at Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi.

Marriott International has appointed the executive team to oversee the opening of Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi.Earlier this month, David Lance was appointed general manager for the two hotels. Lance brings over 20 years of experience to this role, having worked at properties aropund the world. Most recently, Lance joins Marriott in Abu Dhbai from Marriott Executive Apartments, Sukhumvit Park in Bangkok, Thailand, where he was also general manager.

Raja Saeed has been appointed as F&B Manager at Hili Rayhaan by Rotana in Al Ain

Raja Saeed has been transferred to head the F&B department at Hili Rayhaan by Rotana hotels in Al-Ain. Prior to this, Raja was the F&B Manager at BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana hotels in Dubai while also assisting in the openings of the Salalah Rotana resort and the Burgu & Tango Arjaan by Rotana hotels on Istanbul, Turkey. Raja began his career after graduating from Schiller International University in Engelberg, Switzerland at Hyatt International hotels as an F&B Management trainee and has subsequently worked in various hospitality companies such as Burj Al Arab, Roya International, Royal Catering, Millennium Plaza Dubai as well as consultancy work for a number of pre-opening restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Having been in the UAE for over 35 years, he brings with him a wealth of local contacts as well as excellent networks with suppliers and other hoteliers.

Francisco Garcia has been appointed as Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island

Originally from Spain, Garcia has been with Four Seasons since 2000, rising through the ranks in sales and marketing and revenue management. Now overseeing much of the guest experience at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, the multi-lingual hotelier is also a graduate of the prestigious hotel management program at Cornell University.
