Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. today announced it has signed an agreement to open a new 172-room Aloft hotel in Al Ain, the second largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE. Scheduled to debut in 2016, Aloft Al Ain will be the first Starwood property to open in Al Ain and the second Aloft hotel in the UAE joining Aloft Abu Dhabi, which opened in 2009. Catering to the next generation of travelers, Aloft delivers urban- inspired design, innovative technologies and a lively social atmosphere featuring live music performances.

Nader, who has more than 15 years of hospitality experience, first joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 1999 as assistant F&B manager at the Le Bristol Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon. Since then he has held various management positions in Lebanon, Egypt and Spain, with his previous position being general manager of the Hotel Maria Cristina, San Sebastian in Spain, which he joined in March 2008.

Spanning a lavish 2,100 square metres with four bedrooms, the duplex occupies the top two floors of the resort’s west wing and is priced at AED 130,000 per night.

A Belarusian national, Emma has more than 12 years’ experience in hospitality industry. She started her career in hospitality in 2001 with Russian Tour Operator Mostravel in Antalya, Turkey. After two years she moved to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt with the same company. In 2003, she transferred to Abu Dhabi and started her career in hotel industry as Senior Guest Relation Officer with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, where she worked in Front Office and Sales departments and grew to Sales Manager position. In 2009 she joined pre-opening team of Rotana & Centro hotels on Yas Island as Director of Business Development. Early this year, she was appointed by Novotel & Adagio Al Bustan Abu Dhabi which is expected to open during summer 2013, and joined pre-opening team as Director of Sales & Marketing.
Early June 2013, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, a Kempinski hotel, named Holger Schroth as its new general manager. He replaced Bugra Berberoglu, who left his position to take up his new post as deputy vice president of Kempinski for the Middle East, Africa and Asia in Dubai.

After completing his Diploma for Food Production in 1991 from Aligarh Muslim University in India, Chef Akil started his career in hospitality industry as a Commis Chef trainee at the Rajputana Palace Sheraton Jaipur in India on 1992. He got an opportunity to join the Southern Pacific Hotels Corporation as a Commis II in New Delhi, and was offered to work with Dubai World Trade Center managed by Hilton Group in 1995 as Commis I a year after in which he stayed for 3 years. In 1998, he moved to Sofitel City Centre (currently Pullman Deira City Centre) as Chef De Partie. From there on, he got promoted into several positions and reached the position of Executive Chef in January 2010. In December 2012, he was sent to Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche for a task force mission which lasted in 3 months.
The move follows on the heels of Viceroy Hotel Group's management deal for the US 1 billion 481-key Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai, which will become Yas Viceory Abu Dhabi’s sister property when opened Q4 2016.
