Brice Péan has been appointed as General Manager at Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski Cairo

Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski is pleased to announce the appointment of Brice Péan as the new general manager as of 12 January 2021. A hotelier with a wealth of experience championing hotel preopenings and managing landmark properties, Péan has over 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality field, including senior management roles with Hilton Hotels in Vienna, Cairo, Adelaide, Fiji and Shanghai.Péan joined, in 1986, the Hotel Meridien, Paris Etoile, in the Front Office Department . Later, in 1991, he took over an assistant front office manager role at the iconic Hotel Plaza Athénée, Paris.Péan's first general manager appointment was in 2007, at the Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, managed by Hilton Hotels. In 2010, he moved to Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao, being in charge of the preopening of the hotel. Péan joined Kempinski in 2012, as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Qingdao.Most recently, Péan was General Manager of Sunrise Kempinski Hotel Beijing and Yanqi Island from 2013, overseeing 14 properties, including Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Yanqi Hotel and 12 boutique hotels, staying for five years, and later in 2018, he was Managing Director at the renowned Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre. Throughout the subsequent years, Péan gained exposure in various locations, such as Dublin, London, Vienna, Cairo and even the Fiji Islands, steadily growing through the ranks.A native of France, Péan has a bachelor's degree from Fremdenverkehrskolleg Innsbruck University in Austria and speaks fluent English and German in addition to his mother tongue.With his remarkable career in the hospitality industry, extensive knowledge and experience of luxury brands, the hotel's team is excitingly welcoming him in his new role at the Palace, ensuring commitment to service excellence and beautiful performances.

Sébastien Mariette has been appointed as General Manager at Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski & Area

Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski is pleased to announce that Sébastien Mariette has been appointed as the new General Manager and Area General Manager, Egypt as of 16 February, 2020.Sébastien has been working in the hospitality industry with Kempinski since 2007. As an experienced professional hotelier, he has been dedicated to improving guest experience, and maximising operational profits, as well as creating a multicultural working environment.Passionate, articulate and person able, Sébastien has proven to be a creative, efficient leader who believes that the success of an organisation comes from a competent and innovative team.Sébastien started his journey with Kempinski as Resident Manager at Kempinski Hotel Grand Hermitage, Varna, Bulgaria, moving shortly afterwards to Djibouti Palace Kempinski as Executive Assistant Manager. In 2010, Sébastien was transferred on a promotion to China, where he took over the role of General Manager and successfully opened Kempinski Hotel Huizhou. In 2012, he became General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Wuxi ,and ,at the same time, he successfully opened and positioned Kempinski Hotel Yixing. In 2014, he returned to the MEA Region as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea in Jordan and was then promoted in 2016 as Cluster General Manager for Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea and Kempinski Hotel Aqaba. Later in 2018, Sébastien joined Emerald Palace Kempinski & Kempinski Residences Palm Jumeirah as M anaging Director, where he opened the outstanding Emerald Palace Kempinski. In June 2019, he took over the role of Project Director Asia, acting as Managing Director at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, fully managing this property in the absence of the general manager.Sébastien holds a Master's Degree in International Hospitality Management, passed with distinction, from the University of Toulouse II - Le Mirail, Toulouse, France, and a Master of Business Administration in International Hospitality Management from the International Hospitality Management Institute, Paris, France, a joint programme of Cornell University ,USA ,and ESSEC Business School in France.

Marriott International signs agreement to bring its iconic St. Regis Brand to Egypt with the St. Regis Almasa

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) (www.Marriott.com) announced that it has signed an agreement to open a St. Regis in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt, just outside of Cairo. In the second quarter of this year, The St. Regis Almasa is expected to occupy an existing luxury hotel at the entrance of the up-and-coming city that is slated to become the administrative and financial hub of Egypt.

Marriott International Signs Agreement with Landmark Sabbour to Open a W Hotel in Cairo, Egypt

Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced it has entered into an agreement with Landmark Sabbour to bring the W Brand's bold design, signature Whatever/Whenever® service and innovative programming to Cairo, underscoring the growing demand for luxury in Egypt. Expected to open in 2024, W Cairo will be situated in 1-Ninety - a 300,000 sqm mixed-use development in the emerging New Cairo district featuring retail space, commercial and residential components.

Hyatt Announces Plans For Hyatt Regency Cairo West

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement with ALDAU Development group for a Hyatt-branded hotel in Cairo. Hyatt Regency Cairo West, set to open in the last quarter of 2020, will mark the return of the Hyatt brand to the capital of Egypt. The hotel joins Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh and will further add to Hyatt's growing brand footprint in North Africa.

Second Hyatt-branded hotel for Egypt in 2020

Hyatt Regency Cairo West, Egypt will be the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Egypt and will mark the return of the Hyatt flag to Cairo. Located in the Pyramids Heights Business Park, the hotel will feature 230 guestrooms and a selection of food offerings and banquet facilities. The hotel will be in close proximity to diverse corporations and landmarks, including one of the most popular leisure attractions in the world - the Great Pyramids of Giza.
