Four Seasons Resort Nevis is putting the finishing touches on its own version of a winter wonderland as it prepares to unveil the brand new On the Dune restaurant and new signature pool just in time for the holidays. As the final phase of the multi-year enhancement project nears its completion, the Resort has already begun rolling out a few revitalised spaces, including the Kids for All Seasons club, which has moved into a beautiful new location out next to the family-friendly Calypso Pool to offer more outdoor programming and activities for younger guests, as well as Mango restaurant, which repositioned the bar area to allow for more unobstructed Caribbean views during sunset cocktail hour. That, of course, is in addition to the re-envisioned guest rooms and suites, updated Great House lobby and new food and beverage outlets, EsQuilina and crowned monkey RUM BAR, that were launched late last year.

Set to be completed this fall, the latest enhancements will include the redesign of the main signature pool, construction of a new restaurant concept - On the Dune - that extends out on to the sand, and the unveiling of additional improved spaces around the property for guests to enjoy a variety of new experiences and amenities.

Previous management experience includes international roles at InterContinental Hotels Group, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and the Alvear Palace Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Max Loayza has been named Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Resort Nevis

Four Seasons Resort Nevis welcomes the appointment of Max Loayza to Director of Food and Beverage of the Caribbean resort. Since taking on the position, Max has overseen the Resort’s top-rated gourmet culinary program, focusing on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creativity.Max grew up in Ecuador in a family of restaurateurs, where he learned marinades, grilling and restaurant management principles at a very early age. Max left Ecuador for Switzerland to attend Les Roches Hotel Management School and from there, his international career took off. Max has held positions at various hotels and resorts throughout the world including St. Barth’s, Doha, Shanghai, Mexico, Maldives, and the former Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma in the Bahamas, for which he trained on Nevis for that resort’s opening as a young Food and Beverage Manager.Since his appointment, Loayza has helped develop the new beach bar called Kastawey, a relaxing and eclectic space that was inspired by the laid-back vibes of the Caribbean. At Kastawey, guests can enjoy delicious gourmet seafood inspired dishes and refreshing cocktails including the Kastawey Smash rum punch.

Awet Sium has been appointed as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Nevis

A passionate hotelier from the beginning, Resort Manager Awet Sium knew early in his hospitality career that his goal was to land a leadership opportunity with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He joined Four Seasons in 2012 as Hotel Manager for Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis and transferred to Four Seasons Hotel Boston in the same role in 2013. Sium, with his eye on Nevis and the Caribbean as one of his favourite destinations in the world, joined the Nevis team from Boston in late 2014.

Edward Gannon has been appointed as General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Nevis

Prior to his appointment as General Manager in December 2014, Gannon was the Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Nevis. Before transferring to Nevis in June 2014, Gannon spent two years as the Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Austin. Prior to the Austin post, he was hotel manager at Rosewood’s Sand Hill property in Menlo Park, California. No stranger to island life, Gannon spent eight years working in exotic settings ranging from Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ Jumby Bay, Antigua, to Caneel Bay, St. John, USVI, in the Caribbean. Gannon also served as resort manager for four years at Martha’s Vineyard’s Winnetu Oceanside Resort.
