Bethany Bustin has been appointed as Social Catering Manager at the Warwick Melrose Hotel

Most recently, Bustin spent more than two years with the downtown Forth Worth Sheraton Hotel and Spa, where she served as Social Catering Manager and assisted in the grand openings for the hotel and its restaurant, Shula’s 347 Grill. She also helped produce weddings and other special events with Jill Fortney Productions, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Bustin is a graduate of Texas State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts, and she attended Kilgore College, where she performed as a part of the renowned Kilgore Rangerettes.

Mike Pacheco has been promoted to Executive Chef at the Warwick Melrose Hotel

Mike attended Texas Culinary Academy in Austin, Texas, graduating in 2003. He went on to work at the Westin Riverwalk, where his hard work and love for the job quickly moved him up from line cook to sous chef. And it was here he served such celebrities as San Antonio Spurs players, Snoop Dogg, George Strait and Reba McEntire, to name a few. In 2006, Chef Mike came to Warwick Melrose Dallas Hotel as the sous chef and worked to uphold the high standards of the Landmark Restaurant and Library Bar. He recently earned the spot as Chef d’Cuisine.

Edwin Hendriksen has been appointed as Head of Hotel Acquisitions at Keen Partners

Edwin Hendriksen recently joined Keen as a partner and Head of Hotel Acquisitions to lead Keen Partners acquisitions efforts. Prior to joining Keen, Edwin was most recently Senior Vice President of Investments for Inland American Lodging Advisor, Inc., where as head of investments and a member of the executive and investment committees he was responsible for the acquisition of over $1.5 billion of hotels and the oversight of a $2.5 billion portfolio of over 100 properties. Edwin was previously a Director at CNL Financial Group, Inc. where he was part of a team that acquired and asset managed a real estate portfolio of over $11.0 billion.

Ed Netzhammer has been appointed as General Manager at Omni Dallas Convention Center

Ed Netzhammer, who oversees hotel operations in California and Texas, also will serve as general manager for the 23-story, 1,000-room hotel set to open in early 2012, Irving-based Omni said Thursday. Netzhammer, 47, joined Omni in 2002 and supervised the opening of two other hotels adjacent to convention centers: the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, which opened a year ago, and the Omni San Diego Hotel. He joined the Dallas team Monday, days before the city is to host an annual meeting of a convention planners' trade group. With no hotel to show off, members of the Professional Convention Management Association will see schematics of the hotel meeting space and a 4-foot-wide acrylic model.

Juan Morales has been appointed as General Manager at The Magnolia Hotel Dallas

The Magnolia Hotel Dallas today announced Juan C. Morales has been named General Manager for the 325-room boutique hotel, located in the heart of downtown Dallas. Morales has been employed with Magnolia Hotels since 2001. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations for nearly four years. Previously, he served as the Building Service Manager, and the Executive Housekeeper. Prior to joining Magnolia Hotels, Morales worked for the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Dallas and the Doubletree Hotel at Campbell Centre in Dallas. His experience also includes working for the Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, Mass. Morales holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bryant University in Rhode Island.
