Heekyung Chung has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Ms. Heekyung Chung as its new Director of Sales & Marketing, to support the revitalization and relaunch of this five-star family lifestyle resort. Originally hailing from Korea, Heekyung is a sales, marketing and revenue management specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including senior roles with branded hotels across Asia. Having graduated from the prestigious Sejong University in Seoul, she spent five years in managerial positions with Hilton in Korea and Malaysia. Heekyung joined the Hyatt Family in 2007 as Revenue Manager at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, and her talent was quickly recognized. She was promoted to the role of Director of Revenue Management for two properties, Grand Hyatt Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, before being appointed as Area Director of Revenue Management for Thailand. In 2019, Heekyung was named as Director of Sales & Marketing for Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Hyatt's flagship hotel in Thailand - her most recent role before joining Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa. Now, she brings her lifetime of experience and expertise to this five-star resort, which is currently emerging from a transformative renovation that includes the launch of a beach club, new and refreshed culinary venues, a brand-new kids' club, an art gallery, and upgraded pool villas.

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Mr. Pankaj Bisht as its new Executive Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage, as it prepares to unveil a series of exciting new culinary concepts that will elevate the standard of gastronomy on Vietnam's central coast. A talented hospitality expert, Pankaj brings over 23 years of experience to this leading five-star family resort. Having kickstarted his career in 1999, Pankaj honed his skills in the kitchens of leading hotels including the famous Burj Al Arab in Dubai. He first joined Hyatt in 2006, initially at Park Hyatt Dubai and later at Park Hyatt Melbourne, before his career reached new heights in 2014 when he was appointed Executive Chef at Park Hyatt Maldives, and then at Park Hyatt St. Kitts. Pankaj arrived in Vietnam in 2019 as Director of Culinary - F&B Operations at Nam Nghi Phu Quoc, the luxury eco-resort that forms part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Now, he brings his lifetime of expertise to Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa, which is embarking on a new era of epicurean excellence in 2023.

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa has appointed a dynamic new management team as its prepares to reveal a series of essential upgrades that will delight guests and position the resort for an uplifted era of exciting and inspiring hospitality. Mr. Adrian Pulido has become General Manager of this 360-key oceanfront resort, which is nestled directly on the soft sands of Non Nuoc Beach, between the heart of Danang and the UNESCO-listed Hoi An Ancient Town. Originally from Mexico, Adrian is a highly experienced hotel executive who has held leadership roles at high-profile resorts in the Americas, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Having commenced his career with Hyatt, he moved to JW Marriott in Mexico City and Banyan Tree in the UAE and Shanghai, before returning to Hyatt in 2016. Following spells at Park Hyatt St. Kitts and Park Hyatt Seoul, he achieved his first General Manager's role with Hyatt Regency Koh Samui in 2020.

Mauro Zanusso has been appointed as Executive Chef at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the award-winning five-star resort nestled in 39 hectares of nature on Vietnam's Son Tra Peninsula, has appointed Italian culinary master Mauro Zanusso as its new executive chef, as the hotel continues to raise the bar for gastronomy in Vietnam.Chef Mauro has over 20 years of top-level experience in fine-dining restaurants and five-star hotels around the world. He has learned specialist techniques and refined his skills in kitchens all around the world, from Italy to the UK, India, Brazil, Egypt, USA, Japan and China. His impressive journey has included spells with some of the world's most famous luxury hotel brands, including Four Seasons, St. Regis and Ritz-Carlton, and he served as Executive Chef of The St. Regis Shenzhen and The Ritz-Carlton Xi'an in China.During his career, Chef Mauro has been awarded the honor of "Best Dish" at the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival and served as a Guest Chef at the gala event of Starwood Preferred Guests in Tokyo. Chef Mauro will oversee the resort's exceptional restaurants, bars and lounges, including Citron, the elevated all-day dining venue where guests savor authentic Vietnamese cuisine at tables that appear to float above the hillside, Barefoot, the chic beachfront restaurant situated just steps from the ocean, and L_O_N_G Bar, where expert mixologists shake up cool cocktails at a 50-metre-long bar. He will also manage the resort's catering and in-room dining functions.

Volschenk started his career with Marriott International back in 2000 in Le Meridien Dubai Complex and has over the past 19 years moved from across a variety of Sales & Marketing and Operations roles. Earlier assignments include the opening of the Four Points by Sheraton Complex in Dubai, the renovation of the Sheraton Oman, remodeling of the Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien as well as Hotel Manager in Le Meridien Bangkok. He joins us from his last position in Bangkok, where he was General Manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok.

The two managers — Michelle Ford and Cyrille Stegmann, both from South Africa — previously worked as the general management team at the Life Wellness Resort Quy Nhon. Cyrille Stegmann earned a degree in hospitality management with the prestigious César Ritz Hospitality Management School in Switzerland before moving on to work in top hotels and resorts in America, United Arab Emirates, Africa, Europe and Asia. His career spans hospitality postings in both city and remote locations. He has specialized in pre-openings.

Anticipating a January 2010 Grand Opening, the Life Resorts Management Company has selected a team of seasoned general managers to spearhead the launch of the Life Resort Danang. The two managers — Michelle Ford and Cyrille Stegmann, both from South Africa — previously worked as the general management team at the Life Wellness Resort Quy Nhon. After studying hotel management in South Africa, Michelle Ford embarked upon a management career in Africa, the Middle East, United Kingdom and Asia. At the Raffles Spa Academy, she studied spa management and later managed a groups of spas in Asia.
